The Justice Movement was launched! We Did It! IMMENSELY PROFOUND GRATITUDE TO ALL PRESENT AND ALL THOSE SUPPORTING Snapshot Synthesis: “Remember that the smallest crack will eventually take down the largest dam. Today [The Justice Movement] made the crack in the dam. Now let the gravity of these issues do its work.” A. Farrell, comment on Huffpost coverage Quick Summary of the day’s event:Visited to the JFK and RFK burial sites, Arlington National Cemetery: Windle, author of poem in honor of the Birth of the Justice Movement, and I visited, said prayers and blessing to these leaders and to all of the fallen who serve in the military. It was a profound and moving experience to honor JFK/RFK who were gracefully tireless for justice, and to commemorate their service and sacrifice, as well as, all those who serve our country with such conviction for justice that they are willing to sacrifice their lives and a normal family life;Drumming for Jobs & Justice was so perfect! We had about 20-25 drummers pounding in sync for Jobs & Justice, Now! Now!!. What a great way to start the birth process!! in the midst of FDR/Eleanor Roosevelt memorial, and adjacent the building of the MLK memorial, called, “Build the Dream.”March for Jobs & Justice was amazing! The power, the diversity, the passion and commitment for justice!! Being in the shadow of MLK’s statue was vivid and moving...Marching up the Mall to the Towering Temple of Justice the Lincoln Memorial…on arrival Newman was singing, “Love, Peace, and Freedom For Us All,” the theme song of the Justice Movement.Rally for Jobs & Justice on the exact spot of the " I Have A Dream " speech in 1963, with President Lincoln towering behind and facing my “excalibar of justice” the Washington Monument...the power of all of the words of the everyday Americans; all of the visions of justice; it felt like compassion in action/devotion in motion; extraordinary moments of comraderie, as friendships built and strengthened.....the poem, “Dark of the Moon/Dark of the Sun” dedicated to the birth of the Justice Movement shook my soul!; the police encounter: the chiming of the tiny liberty bell; and final wave of Love, Peace, and Freedom: The birthing of the Justice Movement was launched;· FUN: One of the most amazing aspects of the day was that despite the cold and intensity of trying to get it right….everybody was having FUN! FUN being unreasonable! FUN in being in relentless pursuit of justice!
