Guest guest
I have heard of people putting "other" on their drivers license! I wonder if "hazel" would work? I'm curious as to what my son will put on his drivers license when he gets that age- he has one very dark, nearly black eye and one that is a lighter hazel brown color. I guess in his case brown or hazel could work? Good luck and let us know what you find outabfa_76 <abfa_76@...> wrote: Yes, I am finally going to apply for a US Passport in preparation for a trip. But the "Eye Color" spot is making me hesitate. I have a Blue right eye and a Green left eye. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem on passport or driver's liscence application and what, if anything, you had to do and what you ended up righting down. Guest guest
My grandson's eyes are: one blue.. and the other is half blue and half hazel. Even though he's only six months old, we already joke about the driver's license situation. We thought " blue and a half " might work. Just being funny. You could actually just put blue/green, or RB and LG > > Yes, I am finally going to apply for a US Passport in preparation for a > trip. But the " Eye Color " spot is making me hesitate. Guest guest
When UK passport applications had eye colour, I used to put "blue/brown". It was only queried one time, when the official insisted I had to put "left eye blue, right eye brown".Katechansen1006 <chansen1006@...> wrote: You could actually just put blue/green, or RB and LG Sent from - a smarter inbox. Guest guest
I'm in the U.S. I have a green eye and a brown eye, and my driver's license and passport both say hazel. Never ran into any problems. > > Yes, I am finally going to apply for a US Passport in preparation for a > trip. But the " Eye Color " spot is making me hesitate. Guest guest
Hi, I'm from Belgium. I also have a dark green and dark brown eye...Here we don't need to indicate the colour of our eyes on the driver's licence...It's very strange that you have to give details about the colour of your eyes. littlel77 <lcountee@...> wrote: I'm in the U.S. I have a green eye and a brown eye, and my driver's license and passport both say hazel. Guest guest
Hello! I was born with sectoral heterochromia. On my Canadian passport I specified: L-Green; R-1/2Green & 1/2 Brown. I think it's to your advantage to be specific. And perhaps one day such forms will be made more " heterochromia friendly " as well they should (usually there's hardly enough space for the additional info). I once had a problem with a new bank teller refusing to cash a paycheque, stating that my signature was not valid (I had I.D. but no photo ID). It was extremely embarrassing as the tellers whispered in huddle, eying me like a criminal. I thought it showed her inexperience, as the signature was obviously a neater, more matured (twenty-something) match to the one on the original bank application, which I had signed years prior, in my 'teens' --I whipped off about ten more signatures of varying neatness for her. The Teller wouldn't budge and the manager was no help, saying I would have to wait a number of days for investigation. Suddenly I remembered that their application had asked for eye colour and that I had been specific about my heterochromia. I asked them what the odds were that I would have what they thought was only a " close " signature, AND have the gov't issued birth certificate, AND have the same heterochromic eyes, AND know that it was stated there on the app, AND match the rest of app. description. " Occam's razor " ! My cheque was then cashed immediately, apologies proffered ...and someone in the lineup applauded Clear Skies, Beautiful Eyes! Guest guest
Good for you, Lorelei. And clear eyes are beautiful eyes, regardless of color. When you get to have more than one color....it's even more unique and incredibly special. Happy Valentine's Day to all. Guest guest
Thank you, Chansen! Well, it was many years ago Yes, and I think it's very important for parents of children with heterochromia to remember to see and acknowledge the beauty in all their children's eyes --so siblings won't feel left out or less special. As happy with my eyes that I am, I've always thought it would be remarkable to look into the mirror and see two eyes filled with the same brilliant colour looking back --as heterochromia is " normal " for me, I see " like eyes " as being very special too. Wishing you Clear skies, beautiful eyes! Guest guest
We don't have the eye-color on our driver's licences, but we do have them on the ID cards. When I applied for them the civil servant who took all the info didn't know what to do and just put in green-brown. I never had any problem with that.
