Guest guest
Kim, How are things looking now? Make sure you get a copy of your operative report for explant. You will want to have a copy of that available for future reference. I hope you can get a good doctor sometime soon, too. One thing I've heard said is that rheumatologists are pretty worthless doctors. Actually, that was also my experience! They can test you, tell you what kind of immune condition you might be dealing with, but as far as treatment goes, forget it. They will only pump you full of drugs that don't actually deal with the root of the problem, only the symptoms. Of course, you don't have to listen to any of my drivel about it, as some women just want relief from the symptoms, but in my view, taking the long road to permanent healing is the way to go. I do hope you are feeling better. Take care, Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: kim Sent: Tuesday, September 02, 2003 7:44 PM Subject: Re: its bruised , Thanks for the info. I was DX with Fibro and do have the accompanying CFS. Also, my ana test was elevated. My Rheumatologist is about 100 yrs old and needs to retire, but this is what medicaid has to offer. I drive 2 hours to see him and he talks to my husband about religion the whole time. (he's also a bishop) today he told me i was gaining weight rapidly when i had in fact lost 5 pounds. I looked in the chart while he was talking to my husband and i saw that he errored in writing down my weight. He had actually written that i was 50 pounds LESS than what i am. So if he was following his chart he should have said i was LOSING weight rapidly. Which of course is not the case either. If this would've happened at ANY other time in my life, i would have had good insurance, as i have always worked for good corporations. Anyway, i try to stay focused on the positive as much as possible. When i changed my bandage, i noticed A LOT of BRUISING in my right breast and my incision was gaping open a tiny bit with blood oozing out. So i covered the gape with a bandaid so it would have a chance to heal better. I don't know if i should have done that though. My left breast looks great, incision and all. I will call in the am and find out if i should remove the bandaid, it just seems if i leave it as is it will scar worse.~kim
