Guest guest
I have another question about the ANA test. I just got back my lab sheets and my ANA was not done in a titre form like 1:640 for example. Mine is <1 is negative and mine said 8.2 A* A*=Strongly positive. Any ideas? Has anybody else had their ANA test come back that way? Susie
Guest guest
When is it recommended to get my ana tested again to see if it returns to normal?
Guest guest
There really is no time table that I am aware of, but then again, I never had an elevated ANA. I did have an elevated rheumatoid factor, however, and I tested that first in 1998, again in 2001, and just last month, in 2003. So, maybe give it a year, or at least 6 months. I hope will answer you....she was tested several times, and eventually hers went back to normal. I am curious how long it took. Hopefully she will see this soon and answer! Guest guest
I tested positive for ANA twice the last year I had implants and waited 6 months after explant to see if I still was positive. I no longer am, havent been for the last year. I would wait at least 3 to 4 months after explant to get tested again, to give your body time, and also because it can be expensive. Guest guest
, I didn't know you had tested postive for ANA too! Wow, scary.... I am so glad it is now normal! You are a great example to the medical community of how breast implants have affected you negatively and how your blood work improved after explant....well, a great example for those who want the truth, anyway. There's alot of people out there who don't want this information shared. By the way, were you ever tested for your complement system? Even though I have heard of other women who had a lowered C3 complement from implants, I have yet to find someone on this group who experienced it like I did. , how are things going with the MTV project? Guest guest
I don’t think I was ever tested for a lowered C3. I would have remembered it. The ana thing was scary, and it was tested to begin with when I had bells palsy attack, and all that muscle twitching. My neuro wanted to rule out MS, and the like. I also had fast reflexes. (not good) I had a high ana, then a borderline, (still considered positive) and now negative. The Mtv thing was too "Now" as they wanted to come like 4 days ago, and would need to be in my home for about 3 days. (all on Labor Day weekend)Right now is not a good time for me on this one, and I do not like to make rash decisions, esp when it comes to a station like MTV, and sharing my whole life. They literally would be in my home like 6 hours a day for 3 days. Its not a 2 hour interview. I needed more time to pray about it, and felt very pressured. I was getting like 3 phone calls a day for days on end- to come out that week. I would be coming out on that show to all my family and friends, and right now it seems to sudden. And too vague, in what was expected/ Would I have to show my breast pics? I don’t know how I feel about that. Again- I never make big decisions on a whim. However, they will be out again in about 8 weeks, and I am seriously keeping it in my prayers, and thoughts. As there may be a higher purpose that is enabling them to come out again in 2 months. Perhaps God knows I will be ready, and wants me to do it. I also wanted to have time to get my implants tested, as well as have a doctor, like Mercola, or my explanting open on one of those days to be interviewed to back me up with medical reasonings, like my improved blood work ,and what surgery was like, or my fungus infection all over the tv screen, on my live cell, and there was no time for that. No one was available. I don’t want to go on with just my opinion. If I do this, I want it right, with all the research included, and to have medically sound opinions (even if it is for 5 min)backing me up when I come out. God knows all the $ I have spent to have proof by going to all these docs and having all the blood work! It aint for nothin! It is also a crazy time Right now, I am going through tests for MS, and did not want to share that. Its too much right now, too scary. And I'm sorry, I don’t want a camera following me into a MRI apt, when I am scared to death that day. I am keeping it open, I just think it was too sudden without enough being discussed, and at bad timing. It really will be a sacrifice, I must be willing to take. Sharing all my time, and my life, and personal issues. I am praying to God for his guidance on this one. If he wants me to do it, I will know beyond a shadow of a doubt. And I am not hearing that yet. But there is another 8 weeks, so we will see. ----- Original Message ----- From: *~Patty~* Sent: Wednesday, September 03, 2003 11:56 PM Subject: Re: ANA test question , I didn't know you had tested postive for ANA too! Guest guest
I am sorry that you are having such an overwhelming time right now, . I can definitely relate to the issues of not having enough time to get everything done, and worrying about health issues along with the responsibilities of family. I hope you are seeing some improvement in your symptoms, and can lay the MS thing to rest. I know and I both went through that whole "maybe it is MS!" syndrome, and many others have too. It can be a scary time. I am disappointed about the MTV thing, of course, but can totally understand why it is uncomfortable for you. It is alot to take on. And you definitely have to feel it is in God's will for you to speak out. I hope it all works out for everyone involved. Did you ever make contact with Kristi? I just pray that God is speaking to your heart about your health, your healing, and giving you peace about it all.
