Guest guest
Addictive thinking? I suppose it's a " character defect " to be concerned about your ability to work? What would they suggest? Just put it in the hands of your HP, pray on it, and do the next right thing and everything will be peachy? Trust me, it doesn't work that way! Hey, curlyquiz...Sorry to bust your animosity (oops...I mean anonymity!)...but as a CA diversion RN, how does it feel to hear that the cutoff is now 500? What will that do in your case? Weren't your levels 250 and 450? I'll be really curious to see how they handle your case! Ken, you are very perceptive of all these " players " . Go with your gut instinct. It's usually 100% right. > > Probably old news but she told me here in CA that they have raised the > acceptable level to 500. Guest guest
Hey Lorie..no worries, anonymity is in the eye of the beholder Yeah, that does give me mixed feelings, hearing that Jackie states that the cutoff is now 500..but it also makes me feel good, and on a little more solid ground. Yes, my levels were 250 and 450. So technically ( AND REALISTICALLY) I should never have been removed from work to begin with. And at this point I would probably be in transition at least.Instead I am waiting for the summons from the State of Ca and HOPING to be offered the OPPORTUNITY to test for a minimum of 3 more years so I can have a permanently black- marked license....hmmmm....well, that's the sitch, and I'm gonna deal with it. But believe me I will argue my case to anybody in my path, when the time comes. And it will come. My job right now is to continue recovery and not get complacent while in limbo. I try not to think of the day that I have to give up my hazelnut coffee creamer {{{{shudder}}}} and almost everything else under the sun. Oh well, maybe I'll lose weight! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~KEEP THE FAITH~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eva > > > > Probably old news but she told me here in CA that they have raised the > > acceptable level to 500. Guest guest
--- I am new to the diversion program 6/1/06, on the 2nd dec on 8/31/06 they changed my sobriety date, whenever I can get a neg etg. I thought about dropping out of diversion. Is that what you did and go the probation route? How long have you been in diversion and when did thy start using etg? Confused on what I should do. Guest guest
Well, that is what I did, but I hesitate to recommend it to anyone. See, I had 3 YEARS under my belt when this etg thing hit.I had already done everything possible to clear myself and avoid incidental alcohol. At that time it was a black hole of misinformation. It is a litle better now, and since you just started a few months ago, my advice would be to stick it for now, accept the new sobriety date and see what happens. It does seem like things are starting to change. With probation, you will always have a black mark on your license. You can go that route if you have to, but..So, why did you get a new sobriety date? Did you have a positive ETG? Did you relapse? (Forgive me for being forward but I haven't been keeping up daily, so if you've already told your story, I'm sorry to make you repeat it.)Good luck, and remember: DIVERSION IS NOT THE SAME THING AS RECOVERY. ~~~~~~~~~~~Keep The Faith~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eva > > > > > > > > Probably old news but she told me here in CA that they have > raised the > > > > acceptable level to 500. Guest guest
--- I have 5 months clean from opiates. Started divresion officilly 6/1/06 everything was going ok, I have heard horror stories of positive etg and have avoided everthing wiht alcohol, so I thought. Was approved to go to europe on a cruise. Then 1 week before the cruise they said I had a positive ETG of 730 and I can't go. I was dumb founded. I did not drink, but they consider everything over 500 now a relapse and they set my sobriety date back. My second test 10 days after was 450. Now I am waiting for the 3rd test, I sure it is positive, because I have not clue what I changed that is causing these results. The only thing different is that I had very concentrated urine, those days, because I was told that I had a previous dilute urine. Oh well. I just want to know what I am doing wrong to stop this. Thanks for your reply. Guest guest
hi julie a very concentrated urine will surely elavate, sometimes even double, triple your etg number...if you can get the specific gravity of each of your urines you can do the math on what etg would be with normal specific gravity, probably within acceptable range,regards...jhartman32001 <jhartman32001@...> wrote: --- I have 5 months clean from opiates.
