Guest guest
Hey Liz! You were wondering about the silicone enhancers from Fredericks of Hollywood. They are GREAT!!! I found this site because I was doing research on getting implants. After talking to everyone, I got some of these enhancers instead of implants. They totally look real. They have a bra that has an opening that you fit them into. The bra is sheer so you can see through it, and the enhancers look real (colored nipples and everything) so when they're in the bra they look just like real boobs. My husband couldn't tell the difference (except they were WAY bigger than my real ones!) LOL! He was impressed. When you walk, they bounce and everything. They look like real breasts in clothes because of the way they're shaped. They're a good investment, I think. Just make sure you get the right size. They fit on top of your real breast so take into consideration the size of your breasts now. If you get a 36D, they will be a 36D PLUS whatever tissue you have. They're not just like the little inserts you can get at the drugstore. When they say full breast inserts they mean it. It covers your entire breast. But they look really good. Good luck to ya! --- me lee <lizleechica@...> wrote: > Hi , > > I know society has us thinking that a B cup is > smaller than average because so many celebrities > have implants. Guest guest
Hey Jen, Thanks for your response. I'm glad they work because I was so nervous about showing up to work one day with a B cup after having my 36Ds. I thought Fredericks might be a good place to buy them since they have that bra which will hold the inserts in. It would be really embarrasing if I put them in a regular bra and the fell out! Lol. Anyway, I'm glad you made the decision not to get implants. At least with enhancers you can take them out anytime you want to be natural, or don't want to be absurdly large. Now you don't have to spend thousands of dollars on several reoperations which is not fun at all. I wish I made the same decision you did and bought some new clothes with the money I spent. Thanks for the input and enjoy being natural! Liz M <jenniferdp2001@...> wrote: Hey Liz!You were wondering about the silicone enhancers fromFredericks of Hollywood. They are GREAT!!! Guest guest
Hi , Wow, those are expensive little buggers aren't they??? Did you get the full size enhancers that were $249? Or the Add a size pads for $179? How about the bra--does it have a pocket of some sort to hold the enhancer or do they rest against your skin? Do they stay put, or shift somewhat? I have worn mine for over 5 years, and am quite happy with them. I only paid about $90 for mine though. I'm just wondering how long these things are going to last...I'll want some extras on the side just in case these bite the dust. These from Fredericks look pretty good! Guest guest
Oh how right you are on this one! Way, way less expensive than getting implants in more ways than just financial. I am soooo proud of you. If only I had been as smart as you.... , I think you have made all of us proud. You are where we would have rather been had we known about the devastating effects of breast implants.....if I had known about the illnesses and the option of enhancers, I would have ran out of my plastic surgeons office and right over to Fredericks of Hollywood! ha ha ha Enjoy those enhancers! And while you are at it, you can spend the rest of the money you had saved for surgery on a fantastic trip to some exotic destination, or a fabulous piece of jewelry or any of a hundred other wonderful things! Now there's some shopping! (Hey, you should get a job with Fredericks and start pushing these things as an alternative to implants...) Thanks for the happy spot of sunshine, ! ----- Original Message ----- From: M Sent: Monday, October 06, 2003 1:58 PM Subject: Re: To Liz- Frederick's silicone enhancers Yep! They sure are expensive! OUCH!!! =( But, less expensive than getting implants was mylogic. (I love to shop. I can talk myself into buyinganything. LOL!) I got the full size enhancers. The bra has a pocket so they just slip right into it.They don't really come into too much contact with yourskin. They stay completly put! YAY! I tried runningand jumping up and down. Since they're in the bra, they don't go anywhere. There's no way they'd fitinto a regular bra like you can do with the smallerenhancers you can get somewhere like Walgreens. Soyou HAVE to buy their bra. That's how they get ya fora little extra money. Sneaky. LOL! I think they're definitely worth it though. They seemto be made much better than any others I've seen. Ithink they'll last quite a while. They seem to be madeof better material and they're a little softer. They're very nice. Plus, if you don't like them, youcan return them (I called and asked before I shelledout that much money). So you can always send themback if you don't like them.Let me know if you need to know anything else! I'mhappy to help!~~
Guest guest
Hi Barbara, How are you feeling? I think I'm actually going to go with Dr. Darrow as well. My original PS has only done 20 explant surgeries and he laughed when I asked him if he had any before/after photos. He also asked me if I was sure I wanted to be smaller and flatter. Dr. Darrow didn't make any of those comments and he was much more informative. I called to schedule my surgery, but the secretary was out sick. I'm hoping to aim for late November. Do you think you made a good choice using Dr. Darrow? He said he had done about 600 explant surgeries, so I think he is more experienced than most Drs in the area. Guest guest
Hi Liz, I am still feeling weak and my brain fog has worsened but I guess I have to be patient since I was in bad condition before surgery. I think I made the right choice in using him, I look pretty much the same as I did prior to implant , but the one that had the Capsular contraction looks a little funny right now but I guess it takes time for things to fluff. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to answer any questions. The one question I had was that I wanted my implants removed "as is" and he had to drain them through a suction to get them out and I was a little concerned about that but he said all the capsules were removed so I guess that is the important part. He wont say anything negative about the implants but he wont try to convince people to keep them. The only thing he did say that was a little negative was that all implants form capsules because the body tries to isolate it, but the body also does that to pacemakers, artificial joints, etc., he said. Where will your surgery be done Quincy or Boston Center? Barbara
Guest guest
Hi Barbara, I'm sure it's normal for you to feel worse for a while after surgery since you weren't feeling good before. Surgery is an assault on your body and takes a lot out of you. I remember being surprised at how sick I felt after I got my implants. I thought that if I knew it would have been that painful, I wouldn't have gone through with it. I asked Dr. Darrow a question about women who are sick from implants. I said "if implants do not make you sick, then how do you explain all the women who were not sick prior to implants, got implants and became sick, then got better after explant?" He said that the women are probably so releived to have the implants out that they feel better psychologically. I am sure that implants make some women sick and others would have been sick without implants. However the majority of Drs will not say that implants cause any sickness. It is really rediculous to me that Drs deny that implants make you sick if it is not 100% medically proven. Shouldn't it be the other way around??? Shouldn't we say that something is not safe until it is proven that it is safe? I really question the morality of the plastic surgery world. As long as plastic surgeons are making money, they don't seem to care. Still, I think Dr. Darrow is the most experienced in the Boston area as far as explant goes. I think I am going to have my surgery at the Boston Center. I'm nervous, but excited to be natural again and not have to worry about fake boobs anymore. I hope I come out looking the same as I did before implants. Keep us posted on how you are feeling.
