Me lee,

I think we sometimes can start to miss our implants after removal, especially if we felt the benefits socially, culturally, of having them. I know I have shared this feeling along with some other girls. However, it will feel wonderful to have your natural, soft tissue back again, and I absolutely do love being implant free! Many women feel this way, and find that they look better post explant than they ever thought they would.

And you are right, you never will look at implants in the same way, when you see others with them. It has been devastating for most of us, and you will get beyond this.

I pray that your surgery is very successful....do you have it scheduled yet?

Patty

,

I'm glad to hear that it felt good to be natural again. I was looking forward to getting these big, firm balls off of my chest, but one of my consulations made me a little nervous. The PS asked me if I was sure I wanted to be smaller and flatter. He then said that women often forget how small they used to be and are disappointed after they get their implants removed. I started to wonder if I will be disappointed after the surgery instead of happy and relieved. I was a 36 B before implants and the PS told me that is what I should be after explant. I think that is fine and I know I shouldn't worry about my PS's comment about me being disappointed. I think I am just getting nervous because I have been planning to do this for years and now I am finally going to go through with it.

I am so glad I found this group. Everyone has been very helpful, and I'm not sure I would have had the courage to take them out without finally talking to girls who have gone through the same thing. I think and hope that it will be a great relief to be natural again. I will never look at implants in the same way after the experience of having them.
