my eyes are the same way, i have one blue, the other is like a

hazel/green with brown on half of it.ive been reading all sorts of

stuff online, theres a lot to read. some is a little confusing. i was

always told i was special, i thought it was just because my dad had

brown eyes and my mom had blue...in 25 years this is the 1st time ive

read about it. most of what i read said sectorial heterochromia. my

doctors have never lead me to beleive anything was wrong...any more

info on your end?

I have always had blue eyes with the right eye having a good size

brown spot in it. It has been this birth. I also have a cousin who

has a spot in her left eye, though not as large as mine.

To me, it has always been my birthmark. I did ask my eye doctor about

it one time and he told me basically it is a birthmark since it is

just a pigmination spot. Much like a birthmark on the body. He did

call it heterochromia, said it will not effect my eye sight at all.

I have one very dark brown eye, one very light brown (greenish) eye and it has been this way since I was a baby. I was born with blue eyes, and after about a week, one turned brown and the other stayed blue! My mother freaked and took me to the dr who said sometimes they just don't change at the same time. a few months later I had 2 brown eyes, just very different shades of brown. I also love the uniqueness of this, it is a fun topic of conversation.

Back in 1999 I had laser eye surgery to correct my vision. Two appointments AFTER the surgery the Dr noticed my eye color and told me it was called Heterchromia! Nobody ever told me there was a name for it and I never met another person with the same thing. I joking told him he should be more careful while doing eye surgery!!

My daughter has one blue eye and one eye the is half blue/half brown. There is a very clear division on the diagonal, like someone drew a perfect / to divide the colors. I noticed it when she was a few weeks old and it has never changed.
