Guest guest
My surgeon is Dr. Darrow in Mass. Yes he is doing en bloc with capsulectomy and I am so thankful my insurance is covering my procedure. I didnt ask what he would be putting in my IV but I have allergies to penicillin, cipro and sulfur . I usually can only have e-micin. I asked to have antibiotics and he said that I would have a course in the IV and I will also have drains put in.
Guest guest
Barb who is your surgeon? Congrats on having a date, I think it will all turn out ok. He is doing enbloc with total capsulectomy right? If so then you can rest assured. I think antibiotics are a good idea, I know that Dr Feng put some in my IV and also gave me Keflex for a few days afterward. I would tell him that you want them just to be safe, it cannot hurt afterall. I would think he would be able to just give you something to cover your post op period but you may be fine with just the IV ones. Did you ask what type they are that he will be putting in your iv? good luck In , " barbsul2002 " <BARBY4271@A...> wrote: > My explant date is Sept. 24th , please keep me in your prayers I am > scared. Guest guest
Barbara Don't be scared. My surgery went very well. The recovery for me was much easier than the original surgery. Plus within 2 weeks of having the implants out, my worst brain dysfunction---this living in a fog or like you are constantly drunk---improved dramatically. This gave me the proof I needed that having them removed was the right thing for me to do. Good luck and God bless. I will be praying for your surgery to go smoothly! kathy

Guest guest
Barb, I found your explant date...it is coming up soon! I will keep you in my prayers for an excellent outcome. One more question...how long did you have implants? (And they were saline? Sorry I have forgotten the details!) Guest guest
Barb, By the way, that stinks about your front tooth breaking off!!!! Have you been able to get it fixed? It is weird how some of us have dental problems...and unusual ones at that. Makes me wonder what is going on there? I know Dr. Blais at one time stated that silicone disrupts calcium metabolism--I read that in Pamela Stott Kendall's book, "Torn Illusions"--maybe that is a factor in our dental problems? Anyway, I hope you were able to fix that... Patty ----- > My explant date is Sept. 24th , please keep me in your prayers I am > scared.
