Beth,

Hopefully after explant, detox and the passage of time, you can get that ANA to come back down to normal. It means there is an autoimmune response going on...not a good thing at all, but at least it gives you the proof you need to go forward now.

The positive side of this is that after you are explanted, and the ANA hopefully returns to normal, you can go running to your congressmen, the FDA, your doctors and anybody else who will listen, waving your test results as PROOF that implants are doing this to women!

Wishing you healing..

Patty

Subject: If it walks like a duck......

Thanks for all of your support. I finally confessed to my mom last week that I had breast implants and the problems I was experiencing. And she basically said, "Well, if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, then it's a DUCK!! meaning that I was in perfect physical health before explanting and six months later am getting sick.So far all the tests I have taken have shown positive results. I was actually happy to get a positive ANA. Does that make any sense at all, lol? Now am waiting for the t-cell test.....Why does it take Dr. Shanklin's group so darn long to do this? Sigh.:)Beth

Patty,

Yes, and that is where I will need your help. I love to write

letters and I'm not the kind of person to sit idle if I believe other

women may be harmed. I read the post about the mom who has breast

cancer and it's true, things could be worse. One of my neighbors

died SUDDENLY last year from cancer and left behind three children,

the youngest 7 years old. If I'm left with an autoimmune disorder

after all of this, I'll just have to deal with it and be thrilled to

be alive.

Thanks,

Beth

Hey Beth! I know from dealing with Dr. Shanklin that he is just so busy all the time. Francis at Memphis Pathology Lab is the one who does the actual testing, but she is not authorized to give results, so when the tests are done, she has to get with Dr. Shanklin so he can communicate with the patient. I didn't know you had been in touch with him to do your testing. He is such a great man.

I like your positive attitude! I do think you can get better and

you should hold out for nothing less! Many many women have gotten

better and I think you have every reason to believe you will too!

Take care!
