Guest guest
After you have your implants removed, how long do you need to detox? Is it just different based on your symptoms? I've been reading some of the recommended protocols and the vitamins are not a problem, but some of the dietary changes will be a challenge for me. I'm on the go all the time, working full time, two children, etc. I could probably add more raw fruits and salads; adding more fish would be a big challenge. I'm used to Southern cooking, but am willing to make some changes. Thanks for sharing your experiences, :)Beth
Guest guest
Beth, I've shared my opinion on this with many women, that detoxing is actually a lifelong pursuit, but I guess it depends on how ill you are generally. If you feel great and have no symptoms at all, then I would guess you could do a one time detox protocol, such as Dr. Bernard Jensens, or the 7 Day Detox Miracle, or the 14 day herbal cleansing program (there are books out there with titles like these), and maybe you will do some good for the long run. But for the most part, knowing that toxins are in our lives from the air, in our water, in our foods, and in the everyday products for personal care or cleaning supplies, detoxing is going to have to be ongoing, because the exposure is ongoing. This is true especially if you have symptoms of chronic illness. You certainly don't have to live a rigid lifestyle that severely limits you, however. Just a few lifestyle changes can make a big difference, such as buying organic foods, eating less packaged and processed foods, using whole grains instead of processed grains, eating more raw foods instead of cooked foods, eating more alkaline producing foods instead of acid producing foods, drinking more filtered water daily and exercising. Supplements can definitely help quench free radicals as well. There's many things you can do. I don't think there is a way we can set a time limit on a detox, unless, as I said, you intend to follow a set protocol as outlined in a book for this specific purpose. Those will give you specific guidelines for what you can or can't eat, therapies to use in conjunction with the fast, (such as enemas, saunas or water baths) and a specified duration.
