Hi Ilena I had my silicone implants removed yesterday I was very sick from the anesthesia (which I suspected I would be) I was originally going to see Dr. Feng but I felt so sick I had Dr Neal Handel take them out earlier because he could fit me in. and I could not fly. He said they were so ruptured (I had them for 23 years they looked and felt perfect, you could not tell, they looked the same as when I had them put in.), he said they were so ruptured it was a mess. I am encouraging women not to go by how they look or how normal their breasts feel, you can't tell. Too bad I lost my deposit of $1500 and my airfare I got heavily penalyzed but at least they are out and of course some silicone is in my tissues that they can't get at but the doctors can only do their best in removing what they can. So my message to the ladies out their is do not get implants, if you have them get them checked immediately to see if they are ruptured, don't wait like I did until you have pain in your chest and arms The doctor I saw at UCLA said they were not ruptured he just looked at them and felt them, he said it was not an emergency but wanted me to get a physical and mammogram (mine were under the muscle, so it would not show up on the mammogram). when I said no I do not want to spend the money on extra tests just take them out I've only had them 23 years,he would not perform the surgery unless a had a physiclaland said they don't feel ruptured and that none of my symptoms are related to my implants that only 1% of implants have problems, and he did not consider my case to be an emegency. I highly do not recommend any of the doctors at UCLA for this implant removal because they all have to follow the same protocol. Judy
