Guest guest
Yes, it's true. They took the Celexa isomer and split it. Kept the active portion and called it Lexapro, took the portion with supposedly most of the side effects and got rid of it. Some people see no difference between the two when taking them and others see a big difference. The fact that Celexa isn't working well for you may indicate you need an entirely different drug altogether. There is a possibility the Lex may work where the Celexa didn't. The biggest difference between the two currently is the price. Celexa now comes in a generic where Lexapro is still full priced and bit expensive if you don't have insurance. Barbara Celexa>>> Hi Folks, I'm a newbie on this group and just have one question that hopefully one of you can answer for me. If it is in fact true that Lexapro is an " improved " version of Celexa........why would my Doctor start me on Celexa rather than Lexapro?? Make any sense?? I am currently taking 40mg. twice daily. I have been on this for a little over a year now. I don't feel it has helped my depression in the least! If anything I have more days where I actually feel I'm getting worse. Any feedback would really be appreciated! ------------------------------------
