Guest guest
Patty, thank you for the response. My TSH is 1.60 My lab report says normal range is between .40-5.50 What do you think? I am stumped. As far as the fevers, I had 99-101 for over 2 yrs straight, NON STOP. Now I get them on and off, usually when I am in a flare up. OR sometimes at nite. The fevers just fluctuate, I cannot really pinpoint it. Up and down. I did too much todday and have 100 fever. As far as I know, the fevers are 'the norm for alot of people with CFS, FMS. I post on a very good site called www.immunesupport.com , there are lotsa people there with these problems too. I have been tested for mycroplasma, HH-v6, as well as other virus' ,and all autoimmune diseases. I have tried the antibiotic protical with no luck. THE ONLY test that came back slightly off was my IGG.. To everyone on here I would suggest that you get the IGA, IGG, IGM series to test your immune system..........My 'good' Dr. who my insurance no longer takes suggested futher testing to see if I would be a canidate for gamma globulin therapy. Of course I do not have the money to do that, and insurancce will not 'do extensive testing'.He was really surprised that my immune system was not over-active(test wise anyway) Patty there is an alternative Dr. not too far from me who does extensive testing to check my thyroid ..maybe he would try me on the meds?? I am wondering if I should check him out ????? I also read that thyroid meds can make your hair fall out more? Is this true? thanks for your help and support is greatly appreciated. dimonds68
Guest guest
Diamonds, ther could be a chance that you may be in the beginning stages of Hashimtos, where you show some symptoms, and yet have a normal TSH.BUt would show that you have thyroid antibodies. I would have those checked. In the early sages, that may be the only thing you test positive for on blood work, and you may only have few symptoms, not late enough in the disease to have them all. It is controversial amoung older docs not to begin medicine, but newer docs (like Dr Lowe) say the minute you show antibodies, you are having a type of hypo thyrodism and need to be placed on meds. Check out those levels, then you can rule this blasted thyroid thing out! Which by the way I hope you dont have.
