Guest guest
For those of you that have started the weaning off process, have you noticed pain in your shoulders and neck? I went from taking 10 mg/day to 5 mg/day and now have this constant pain in my neck and shoulders. Advil does nothing for it. Thanks in advance! Guest guest
No pain for me. Just body shocks, spasms and headaches. Minor brain freezes are abating. I'm down to 5 mg from 20. Good luck! Guest guest
I quit lexapro cold turkey, (guess who is the turkey...me) a year ago and have had chronic pain in my shoulders and neck, mostly in conjunction wiht the muscles spasms of my neck and in my shoulders never really thought about it but yes it is definitely lexapro related. I notice when I am over tired, just a little bit, it comes back andis very hard to get rid of. I just have had to face the fact that I cannot do as much as I used to do. Now if i could just convince my family. Guest guest
Interesting - I recently went down from 10mg to 5mg and have noticed a lot more neck, shoulder and upper back pain than usual but never connected it with lex. Of course many people with anxiety tend to store tension in those areas. I find exercise helps - Pilates and yoga are both good and muscle relaxation exercises - there are some good videos on you tube Mike From: fess1960 <fess1960@...> Subject: Re: Weaning off Lexapro Lexapro Date: Friday, 29 May, 2009, 4:34 PM I quit lexapro cold turkey, (guess who is the turkey...me) a year ago and have had chronic pain in my shoulders and neck, mostly in conjunction wiht the muscles spasms of my neck and in my shoulders never really thought about it but yes it is definitely lexapro related.
