Guest guest
Hi, I had a local only and surived. Just make sure you get the valium before they start cutting. It made me very nervous but i didn't have any valium until 1/2 way thru the procedure which helped a lot. Because your implants have been in for such a short time, I would think, (no knowlege to base this opinion) that there would be very little scar tissue, and when my Dr. cut thru the scar tissue is when it hurt most, of course when she realized it hurt she would give me another shot of local. I ended up having about 8 shots of locals. I would never want to do it again i can say that.. but i'm glad i did it. I don't want to frighten you, because i think you especially will have an easy time of it given the short time they have been in and the fact they are smooth. Mine were textured and in for almost 10 years. That makes a big difference. It would be my opinion that you will have a much easier time of it and be virtually pain free. The worst part of it was the anxiety over being awake and hearing the cutting etc., and the valium will take care of that for you.. Good luck and let us know how your doing, be confident that everything is going to be great.
Guest guest
The drains are a little irritating, but totally livable. I had them for 10 days, one on each side, and I got rid of alot of infections through those things. They became a little itchy after a while, and I needed to wear large baggy tops to conceal the tubes that I had pinned to my halter. Kinda looked like two small bags of potato chips, one on each side. Guy at the gas station thought I stole something, I told him he didnt want to really see what was under my shirt. Really. Anyway, they are aggravating to a point, but essential in the healing process. You shouldnt have them that long. Good luck to you, smart girl! >From: "absmile1" >Reply- > >Subject: Anyone have a "local" for explant or drains? >Date: Fri, 19 Sep 2003 15:16:43 -0000 > >I am being explanted on Monday morning after having my smooth saline >implants in for 9 weeks. Guest guest
Thank you both for answering! It makes me feel better that others have gotten through it! They are giving me the valium when I first get there...and giving it time to kick in...they even rescheduled my appointment to make sure it had time to kick in...so that makes me feel better. Also, the drains will probably only be in a few days...he said he would probably take them out Thursday. Thanks!
