Guest guest
We all have our ways of getting here and mine was trying to forge a prescription for Vicodin while going through a divorce...just kind of wanted things to end if you know what I mean. I have never used drugs of any kind prior to that, never smoked and maybe had 1/2 of a cocktail at a party once or twice a year. I have been a nurse for 18 years and prior to that the military. While going to school for nursing one of my jobs was working in a drug and alcohol recovery unit...I hated the job and had some very strong opinions about the whole AA/12 step program. Please remember, these are my opinions only and it is not meant to denigrate what many of you have accomplished. To make a long story short...after 2 years of diversion and 100% clean urine drug screens, I was dismissed as being non-compliant with regards to 12 steps and for not developing the incredible insight and gratefulness for the diversion process....I was called a dry drunk:( Anybody have an idea what is next...most of the disciplinary stuff here in California that I have read on the BRN suggest that a 3 year revocation with a stay is in order?? Of course I am bitter and wish I would have taken early probation over diversion...at least it takes out the subjectivity of successful completion. I am just not sure how they view someone coming out of diversion. Lastly, is there really any value in obtaining a attorney in front of the board?? What I did was wrong, I was convicted of Misdemeanor Forgery in April 2006 and am currently on 3 years summary probation....thats undeniable. Any and all advise appreciated....imagine, I thought my big concern was a going to be a false negative. I should have known better being 6'2 220lbs:)
