Guest guest
Hi Jan, I'll be praying for her. Love you, Carol [ ] need your prayers Everyone: Your prayers as a group are especially needed right now. My friend, GabbyGut, that is a member of our group and I have a friend of ours in the hospital. Our friend who is only 45 had the gastric bypass last month. Other than just the first week or so, she has been experiencing great pain and has not been able to hold any food or fluids down and has lost nearly 60 lbs. After making 4 trips to the ER, they finally kept her on Sunday. She has litterly no pottassium in her body and is hooked up to monitors and IV's plus a heart specialist has been called in. The three of us know the powers of our group as we have asked for prayers before. Thank you so much. I'll keep you posted. Guest guest
Jan, So sorry to hear of what your friend is going through. I know how hard it is to lose weight - I lost 200 pounds over a 3 year period and it is a struggle every single day keeping it off. I have since gained about 75 pounds back again. I am a medical transcriptionist and type a lot on gastric bypass surgery, i.e. Roux-en-Y procedure. So many people have complications - it is a shame that people have to go through that at all just to lose weight in order to fit into society! I will say prayers for your friend. She has gone through quite a lot just to lose some unwanted weight. I hope she will be OK. She is very lucky to have such a good friend like you! Hugs to you and your friend....... Guest guest
OH DEAR MIMI I hope you have someone helping you and taking care of you? HOw long of a drive is it from Toronot to Cleveland? It seems like a long distance to drive, so I hope your ok and have someone helping you out. I really wish you could have stayed in Cleveland till your drains come out, girl you need to rest. If your having panick feelings ask your Dr or Dr Feng for something for your nerves till your over this part of the ordeal. I really cannot imagine getting through much of my explant ordeal without some medication for stress. I know allot of people don't agree with taking drugs, but man, I did not care, I needed something for sleep, pain and anxiety and that helped me ALLOT. Now as far as how your feeling. For me, I felt sick after explant, and I did not get rid of most of my symptoms for some time. In fact it is normal to feel crappy (not everyone does) but I think after any major surgery, your going to feel run down, etc. The best advice I can give you for now, rest, rest, rest! As much as you can. Take your medication, drink tons and tons of water. Don't do too much, just take it easy. I would love to call you but I am not going to be home till later tonight. Let me know what is a good time for you in the evening. Or I can call in the morning tomorrow. What time zone are you in there? I am in the mountain time zone, so about an hour behind Cleveland time. Hang in there and please please try to rest, and don't get too worried about how you feel yet. (easier said that done I know) I will pray for you Hugs and prayers In , " mimi_merchant " <mimi_merchant@y...> wrote: > Dear Friends, > I had my explant by dr. Feng on 10th october with breast lift. Guest guest
Hi Mimi, Congratulations on going through this even though it is tough. I think 's idea to take medication for your anxiety was a good one. Normally I don't agree with medication, but with certain situations like this one I think it can be helpful. Surgery is always scary. I think I will have my explant in November and I know I'll be terrified. I can totally understand your anxiety and I'm sure you will start to relax as time goes by. I know you are not feeling well, but just think you are on the right track towards recovery. Keep us posted on how you are doing. Guest guest
Congratulations Mimi! You are in my prayers....just rest, rest, rest, and drink lots of fluids. I hope you can feel a little less panicky about the test results...I know it is frightening, but I have also had problems with my C3 complement (along with an elevated rheumatoid factor). It has been this way for over 5 years now, and I have regained alot of my former energy and health. I really have not been told what it all means, so I am not worrying about it too much. I just have faith that God will take care of me, and He has. Let's keep in touch about these tests, okay?
