Guest guest
Dear Iggy, You should not need to stay in a hospital overnight. Most of us did not, and we were fine. Explant is much easier in most cases than implantation and can be done on an outpatient basis. For me even though my explant took longer than implantation (almost 6 hours) I was back in my hotel room that evening and within two days post op I was up and around, seeing sites in Cleveland like the rock n roll hall of fame! I understand how much finances can affect our decision of who to chose as a surgeon, so if you cannot go to someone wonderful like our own Dr Feng or Dr Mehlmed then take some precautions with the surgeon your going to use. Make sure to stand up for yourself prior to surgery and get somethings from him, preferably in writting, so that you don't regret it later. Make sure that he will do a total capsulectomy, this is important, the most important thing of all when getting explanted. If your implants are saline than the en bloc part is not absolutely needed but the capsule must come out. Alot of Dr's will tell you it is not needed but trust me it is, and you just have to stand up for yourself! Dont let him leave capsule in you ! Otherwise it should be simple enough and you will be so happy to have them out. Good luck In , " iggyrn2b " <iggyrn2b@y...> wrote: > Hi, thanks for all the advice...
