Just wanted to share something I read today.

Psalms 103: 1 Praise the Lord, O my soul, all my inmost being, praise His holy name! Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Who forgives all your sins, and heals all your diseases. Who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with love and compassion. Who satisfies your desires with only good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.

Love,

Hi !

I have a favorite one, too! God showed me this right after I returned from my mission trip to Dominican Republic/Haiti. I was so blessed, even after having read the Bible many times, it is like I saw this verse for the very first time. This particularly hit me strong, as I have done alot of fasting. But here he describes TRUE FASTING:

"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:

to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke,

to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter--when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say:

Here am I." (Isaiah 58:6-9)

God is so wonderful. I love Him so. May you all be blessed today!

Patty
