Hi ,

Well, I am trying to! My problem is remembering what day I am on in my cycle and rubbing the cream in or taking the sublingual from days 14 on. It is really hit or miss, but these articles you've posted are good reminders that I need to pay more attention to that. I need to have some blood work done--I think I've been more on the hyperthyroid side, too. (I've noticed some heart palpitations and feeling of overheating and I think it is they double dose of cytomel my doc has me on). I will at the end of November, and that will give me some idea if these other supplements I am taking are working also. I am really hoping that my thyroid antibodies are down, because last time they were higher than they've ever been. Getting my blood work back to normal is my main goal right now.

Thanks !

Patty

Subject: thyroid and progesterone

I was mistaken in telling I was on 1.5 grains of thyroid, when I was on 2.5 for the last year. I am now hyper, and he thinks .60 will be enough. (about 1/3 of what I was on) Dr Mercola believes the use of progesterone (for the last 6 months) is helping with my thyroid disease dramatically as usually Hashimtos is caused by excess estrogen. Getting it balanced, will restore thyroid function. Which is happening to me. Hurray! Ill let you know what my antibodies are at once I get results.

Patty are you taking progesterone for your thyroid disease still or no? http://www.progesterone.nu/thyroid.asp

Patty, I was having problems like that too in the beginning. But now, I always mark on the calender on the days I start my period, and then I mark the day I am to start and also finish the progesterone. It makes it easier for me to remember. I can keep track on my menses, and also just look at the calander for reminder on when to go on. Try that out.

I also have noticed in the last months that I have had heart palpations, and shortness of breath girl! Lie when I am going up the stairs. First I thought it was progesterone alone (like a side effect) then I thought it was MS, now I know the progesterone was enabling my thyroid to function better on top of all the thyroid meds I used to need, it began overkill. Patty, my t3 was 568! And my TSH was .08. No wonder. Just remember that progesterone helps to lower antibodies by helping balance cortisols and steroids, so it has been known to lower antibodies, or eliminate them. This is awesome that progesterone made that much of a difference for you. Are your doctors pretty sure now that the MS is a misdiagnosis?

Wow, that is a high T3! I have no idea what mine is, but I have cut back on my dosage. I take it only once a day now. I need to have some blood work done, and I will at the end of the month.

I'm still lazy with the progesterone. Actually, I am due to start my period and it isn't here yet, I hate that! I woke up this morning with a killer headache, so I know it's near. Ugh.

Patty, Ms was never fully diagnosed- it was suspected and thank the lord ruled out. My tests point that it isn't the case. However yes my neurologist now believes it was my high thyroid causing peripheal neuropathy. And It has helped huge. Thanks
