The optimal Lex dose is 10 mg. Higher doses are going to cause more side

effects. Perhaps you need a dual reuptake inhibitor such as Effexor or Cymbalta.

I know I did and that made *all* the difference. It's something to talk with

your doc about for sure.

Increased Dose

I have been on Lex at 15mg since January - started at 10mg in Decmeber

2007. Three times (June, August & December) doc has suggested

increase to 20mg to deal with continued anxiety. Each time I get very

positive initial results for about 10 days and then fatigue, lethargy,

difficulty getting out of bed and getting going. Have others seen a

similar pattern from increased dosing? I think I may be going in the

wrong direction dosage wise.

Thanks,

Bill

I have depression and anxiety. I take 10mg Lexapro. I also take 1mg of Ativan,

for my anxiety, in the evening. This works really well for me. Its just a little

extra anxiety relief without increasing my Lexapro dosage.
