Guest guest
Liz, I am so glad everything went well and you are happy. I had all blood draining too, it was not thick blood it was red and watery in consistent. I didn't have any other fluids draining except that red watery blood. I am so happy you didn't get sick from the anesthesia! I would recommend Dr. Darrow to anyone also, he had so much patience with me and really helped me through it too! Well, congratulations and keep me posted. Barbara
Guest guest
Hi Ladies, Just wanted to write and say that I had my explant surgery with Dr. Darrow. He did a great job and I would recommend him to anyone who lives in the Northeast. This surgery was not nearly as painful as the BA, and I didn't even get naseaus because they put an anti-nausea medication in the anasthesia. The most annoying part is the drains. Does anybody know if the fluid in that drains is always supposed to be blood? I though there would be other fluids, but it is all blood. Is this normal? It was a little bit of a shock going from a 36D to a 36B, but I think I was mentally prepared because of this site. The scariest part of this surgery was definitely the anticipation. I was so nervous that I didn't want to go through with it, but Dr. Darrow talked to me before I was drugged up and calmed me down. Fortunately I took those saline bags out before they caused me any health problems. Having rediculous fake boobs is not worth the health risks. I am so glad that I don't have to worry about that anymore. Now I will just have to take time to adjust to the natural me. Liz
Guest guest
Liz, I'm so glad you did so well. I kept a note on my computer that popped up periodically to remind me to pray for you. My biggest fear is the nausea. When I had my BA, I got really really sick for days! I hope I'm like you this time! Keep us posted. I'll let you know Monday when I'm getting mine done. Guest guest
Great to hear that Liz! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU THAT IT IS ALL DONE! I also had some blood in mine, mixed in with some yellow stuff too. Perhaps you should ask..I am sure you are fine. You are on your way to better health, and also a new type of acceptance. I was forced to finally accept my body for what it is, not what the world tells me it SHOULD be. I struggled with that for years, almost my whole life. It has been life altering for me. And quite peaceful too! I realized I was killing myself to be something, or someone I would never be. I love them now, and I am the same size as you. You should be happy with them, and now be even happier with a long healthy life ahead of you, because of your smarts in getting them removed. I am so glad your doc was great! Blessings to you! ----- Original Message ----- From: me lee Sent: Saturday, November 22, 2003 9:30 AM Subject: Re: Explanted Yesterday! Guest guest
CONGRATS TO YOU GIRL YOUR A SMART LADY!!!! yeah! You will be fine, remember that at first things will not look like what they will end up. Even my tiny A's have changed tremendously in the last 3 years. I need to post new pics, they look remarkable good. I have to share something very intimate too. My breasts have finally once again become very sexual for me. It took time, I thought I would never enjoy that again, but lately I have felt so randy hee hee and my breasts have become apart of that in my life again, even my hubby noticed and he said he was so glad to see that I liked that again, that I liked that part of my body, and I do, I love my little firm boobies, they look absolutely great on me! you will get there too, and in clothes I wear my little enhancers to look fuller, I feel I have the best of both worlds now! CONGRATS AND REST UP and drink tons of fluid. The drainage is perfectly normal, it may look like blood but there is serous fluid in there too. Guest guest
Pam there are some amazing anti nasea medicines out there, zofran, compazine, phenergan, to name a few, oh and reglan, so make sure to tell the anesthesiolgist about this and they can put some in your iv and give you a script too. They help allot. Zofran is one they give to chemo patients, and it is super effective. hugs C In , " Pam " <nannapam37@y...> wrote: > Liz, I'm so glad you did so well. Guest guest
You did great Liz! What a smart woman.. Very smart...God bless! Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: me lee Sent: Monday, November 24, 2003 8:19 AM Subject: Re: Explanted Yesterday! Thanks for your support everyone. I had been contemplating removing those waterballoons for years and was too scared to do so. I felt like a freak for not liking my implants since it seemed like everyone else was so excited to have them. Finally I found this site about 3 months ago and realized I was not the only one. It also made me realize that I was putting myself at risk for serious complications just for vanity. I am working on accepting and my natural body now and the implant experience has definitely given me a new appreciation for my small breasts. They are not perfect, but then again they were not perfect with implants either. I felt rediculous with those things. I would never trade my health to conform to the absurd ideals of what the media says is attractive again. I don't think there is anything attractive about fake boobs that make women sick. If only more celebrities would take them out as they are often role models for many women and young girls. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath for that, though. In the mean time I'm glad you all encouraged me to do the right thing. Liz
