Guest guest
Pam I also am not able to walk or run anymore, but I have found that biking is the way to go. Since I live where it is too cold in the winter to bike, I recently bought some home equiptment that is awesome and worth every penny. I bought a spinning bike, but a recumbent would be great too, I love it. I also got an eliptical those are pretty easy on the joints. I feel it is imperitive that we get our bodies moving, lately I sweat so much that I soak my clothes, like totally drenched, but ya know what ?? I feel better and better after every terrible sweat. I also got a bowflex machine, these are the best, they are gentler than regular free weights and easy on the body. I can help with any fitness questions you may have as I am a big time fitness freak. I have to admit I have never stopped finding ways to work out through out my illness, I am really compulsive about being fit, it is very important to me, but I also believe it has been instrumental in my healing. let me know if you would like to talk 208-522-1137 In , " Pam " <nannapam37@y...> wrote: > , I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, > Rheumatoid Arthritis, Carpal Tunnel, Raynaud's Phenomenon, Sjogren's > Syndrome, my eyes get blurry and goopy but they're not infected, my > ears ring, I can't remember things, I've even forgotten my child at > church - I didn't leave him thank God, but almost!, I can't add or > subtract simple things, I look at numbers and don't know what to do > with them so I have to use a calculator for everything, I don't > remember regular words like what something is called, I'm constantly > saying " that thing, you know that whatchamacallit " , I can't remember > how to spell things and I had a 3.87gpa in highschool and graduated > as a Junior when I was only 16! Guest guest
If you do a search on the internet under spinning bikes you can see what one looks like. Basically they use them at gyms in big classes you ride them like a real bike, and can adjust tension so that so climb hills, stand up, do jumps etc, it is a real great calorie burner, up to 1,000 calories an hour!
