Activation day 2nd implant first impression

All,

 

Today was my left side activation day and what a day. Everything sounds with

bells, echo, speech sounds like " daffy duck " but I know it will get better.

 

The audi told me not to use the implant on the right side as I will be cheating

myself. Well after hearing all kinds of bells and echo and daffy duck on the

left side once I got home I put it to rest and hook up the right side. But this

is not going to be forever.. just for about an hour or so..so that I can chat

with my wife.

 

I have to use the cochlear on the left side and NOT use the right side at least

3 months. OH wow. Well if it get's better which I think it will then i do that.

 

On the train commuting home I hook up my iPod on the left side and was able to

hear some music.. Just selected the music I very familiar. Music of course

sounds weird but it will get better.

 

Well will keep everyone posted.
