It is normal to be nervous before surgery. I almost backed out before my

bilateral surgery. I was a basket case! I dreaded the time being 100% deaf

between surgery and hookup but I wanted to hear so bad and to be independent. By

the time the surgery date rolled around I was ready. Being 100% deaf while

waiting for hookup was not bad at all. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.

for all of those who are bilateral if you can help me that woul be

great; i am feeling very nervous just 2 and half weeks to surgery, is this

normal. maybe it has alot to do with the fact that i am the only one at

my college with a ci. any advice would help!! thanks

I have all the dates in my calendar now: pre-op testing, surgery (7/18),

post-op appointments, and 2 initial stim appointments. Now all I need is the
