Amen ! That part of the good old days is truly the good part.

Kids are spoiled these days. How about middle school girls who refuse to

stop wearing lrggings when the principal banned them? The tv stations

helped them make THEIR case by giving them air time. I love to hear about

other schools who ban iPods and cell phones during the school day. And more

power to school uniforms!

By the wayk, I watched the State of the Union speech. Obama is so much

easier to understand and follow than Bush was, whose speech was beyond

terrible.

Quote of the nanosecond...

Ambition is a poor excuse for not having enough sense to be lazy.

The DISadvantage of school uniforms is that I still cannot coordinate an

outfit that doesn't include navy blue and white. LOL. 10 years of grade

school (I did kindergarten twice), and 4 years of high school, and both

had plain navy uniforms and white blouses. We even had uniform shoes in

high school. Saddle shoes! And they had to be polished.

We could ALWAYS wear something that wasn't part of our uniform, provided

we were willing to take it off and get a detention for doing it. And we

weren't even allowed to chew gum in school, much less have radios, IPODS,

and cell phones. You wouldn't DREAM of taking your " transistor radio "

into school way back when.

Someone needs to tell kids they have no rights in school, except the

right to sit down, shut up, and learn.

How about middle school girls who refuse to stop wearing lrggings when

the principal banned them? The tv stations helped them make THEIR case by
