Guest guest
Hi Lawrence, I am sure that, once your brain gets you past the post-activation " helium voices " stage, you should have no problem. Once you are far enough along the learning-curve to find that voices sound natural again, your auditory memory should be valid for all the languages you have been used to using. Whilst I cannot claim any great fluency, both French and German sound as they used to do. Good luck with your op and activation > > I am scheduled for surgery on Jan 14. I have been reading about the post op therapy and have a question. If you do the auditory therapy in English, do the sounds and patterns learned " translate " to anothe language? My primary language is english. I also speak spanish and french. I plan to be doing my therapy in english of course. Will my word discrimination ability in the other languages tend to parallel the scores for english? >
