The final meeting of the season for the

SOUTHEAST FLORIDA COCHLEAR IMPLANT SUPPORT GROUP

will be on

SUNDAY MAY 22, 2011

TIME: 2 - 4 PM

PLACE: Boca Raton Community Hospital - Education Center - Classroom C

We have had a number of new people who were recently implanted and it is time

for us to give back by helping those who are struggling. We will have a rap

session, share our our experiences and also try to help each other with whatever

trials and tribulations we may be experiencing.

We look forward to seeing our " regular members " as well as meeting new people

who are interested in learning more about cochlear implants in addition to those

who have recently been implanted. Everyone is welcome. Please come early to

socialize. Snacks and soft drinks will be provided.

We hope you will encourage friends and family to attend our meetings with you.

Personal support systems can add much to our success of adjusting to our hearing

loss and the cochlear implant.

Looking forward to an interesting and enlightening meeting.

Directions to BRCH Education Center :

Take I-95 to Glades Road East . Stay on the right. Pass FAU (on the left)

until you see the HOSPITAL sign. Make that right and follow the road up to the

hospital. Continue on the same road until you see EMERGENCY. Make a left turn

into the driveway and the Education Center will be on your right.

Hi:

I am new to the SOUTHEAST FLORIDA COCHLEAR IMPLANT SUPPORT GROUP. Does

the group ever have meetings in the Miami area. I live in the South

Miami area. If not, does anyone know of groups which meet in Dade County.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am currently considering

a CI and am in the process of searching for help and guidance.
