well,

 

When i recieved my N5 it was my first ever implant and processor package so not

sure if it is same with the upgrade package

but i recieved a cochlear branded bag with the following:

 

audio cables,

Mains isolation cable for things plugged in wall (laptop or TV)

perrsonal audio cable for things running on battery (mobile phone or ipod)

monitor earphones (you can plug your processor direct into them but never used

it so dont know what the earpiece is for)

lapel microphone

mainsn isolation cable

standard earhooks (spare incase you break the earhook)

 

rechargable battery charger and mains plug

everyday storage box

dry and Store Zephyr

information leaflets about how to use your processor

screw driver to lock/unlock your proces

sor (aimed at teh use by children i think incase they change the settings on the

processor by fiddling with it)

 

well iv got extras but it did not come with the bag i got when i recieved my

processor on 16th may.

hope this is ok and what you wished to know.

There is a big difference between the full implant and a processor

upgrade.

That is similar to what I have and I heard About the price increase about couple

months ago.

I had to buy my own audio cable & isolation cable. It did not come with the

upgrade.

Oh right ok well the pack I got was not actually an upgrade package as I had

never had an implant before so it was a new implantee package.

I got all that you mentioned robert so it is clear that the new implantee

package and the upgrade package are different. I think.

more, for you just got implanted. A new recipient is not going to get an

upgrade, for there is nothing to upgrade at that point.

Totally agreed mate at the moment there is nothing to upgrade to plus with the

current " NiCE " guidelines I won't be able to upgrade till around may 2016.

You dont even have anything to think about yet. Cochlear usually

creates upgrades that are backwards compatible when the next implant system

is developed and released.
