Guest guest
That's ok Tina... and you'd be surprised the small towns in Missouri I know about =o) How about Monett? Or Freistatt? Or Neosho/a? Anyway - the reason I ask is that there is a miracle worker pain doctor in Chicago. I fly there or did when I could walk every month . He is not afraid to prescribe the drugs you need. I was pain free after one month! It was more than worth the money to go. You have to go once a month for a year and then every other month. He started me on morphine, extended release and I felt much better... and it is a myth about the addiction part!! I live just north of you in northern Iowa in Fort Dodge (about straight up from Ames if you look on a map) **Aisha... how about a map on the web page, which I have no clue where it is... but a map that says where we sickies are =o) Guess I better be careful joking like that... I said to my daughter one day. let's go look in the fattie section (for clothes) and the next time we were there she yelled, " look at all the other people in the fattie section mom, and you said you were the fattest.. look - you aren't! The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said on its Web site that the Lansing, Michigan-based company voluntarily recalled the vaccine because the labeled expiration date, Sept. 9, 2001, was more than seven months after the correct expiration date of Feb. 3, 2001. The FDA also said BioPort is voluntarily recalling two other products because it can't assure those products are sterile. The company couldn't be reached for comment late in the day. The recall is the latest setback for BioPort and the U.S. military's anthrax-vaccine program. The company isn't now producing vaccine and won't resume production until its plant is certified by the FDA. That prompted the Pentagon to ration the vaccine to troops in high-risk areas. The vaccine is protection against weapons carrying anthrax, the world's deadliest biological agent. The U.S. believes that weapon could be produced by North Korea, Iraq or Iran. Guest guest
It was so funny... My commander and 1st Sgt and my supervisor were telling me that I was making a HUGE mistake - I would never find a job again... blah, blah, blah... I straight out told them that they were wrong. Who in their right mind would not want to hire a person that stands up for what they believe in? I never had a problem finding a job. The isuue of the type of discharge I got never even cam up unless I brought it up. When I did mention it - they would congratulate me on my courage to stand up for my rights. Anyway, I am much better off now that I am out of the military. The freedom I have and the money I make is much more than what I made in the military. I liked it when I was in - the Air Force was going to be my career... I had no problem with staying in for 25 years - I liked my job and the travel opportunities available to me. The thing I miss the most is being able to travel overseas. But you know what? I am VERY happy with my life outside the military. Jeff www.teambettendorf.com Update... Hi, my name is Jeff Bettendorf. Guest guest
I've heard it said that a less than honorable discharge or dishonorable discharge mean less today and has much less an impact upon one's life, than it once did. I'm not certain of the veracity of this, but I have heard it. > It was so funny... Guest guest
Just from my observations, it only means anything if one seeks future government employment, or something that needs government security clearances. Most employers are so busy avoiding any possibility of civil suits that they rarely ask beyond have you served? and then (even more rarely) what was the character of your service. They never ask for documentation to prove it. Chappy Update... > > > > Hi, my name is Jeff Bettendorf. I was in the Air Force at AFB > > when I got kicked out in 1999. Guest guest
That's true. People have told me that I won't be able to get a gov't job; awh, bummer! Don't know if that's true, but WHO CARES! If it is true, I just won't get one of those jobs! Besides, working for the gov't is much like being in the military (the bureaucracy and all the stupid stuff!). I'm NOT going to miss it at all! Guest guest
I got a job with the state of AZ after I got kicked out - I didn't have any problems getting hired. I just had to give them a copy of my DD214. Jeff Re: Update...
