Guest guest
Hey Molly! Keep up the good work - but do try to atleast snack on an apple or something! lol I want to tell everyone - I am SO proud of myself! lol My MOST favorite thing in the WORLD is Pizza and Nachos. A guy in our church ordered Pizza for the kids in our Christian school, and I sat there, like a good litttle girl - and did not eat ONE bite! I only ate my salad!!!!! I promised myself that I was going to go 90 days with NOTHING but fruits, veggies, raw nuts & seeds, and 3 oz of cheese a day, and every Tuesday we eat at Applebees (kids eat fr,.ee! lol) and so I can have a shrimp spinach salad there. That is ALL - no other meats at all, and just that once a week. I started April 1, so I am at 30 days today But I have NEVER had the willpower to do that - I have ALWAYS said - well, just this once - I mean - it was GIVEN to me, etc - whatever excuse~ lol Laurie Delk (931) 380-8811 http://www.bestreferralsystemonline.com/1999 - Triple Your Business In 2007! Guest guest
steph, i may be wrong but i think the mms is only supposed to be good for a few hrs after mixing... if it's working though..what can i say but that's great! wes WOW A great report on MMS concerning my white dove!!! I have a white dove I rescued about a year ago. She was very sick when I took her home, full of an incurable form of e-coli which was diagnosed by the state lab. (bird e-coli specific to birds). I have been keeping her alive with various things over the year or more that I have had her using biotic silver, ozone water, and other alternatives. She is all puffed up in the rear end and in all the 30 years I have been caring for doves and pigeons I have NEVER been able to save a bird in this condition with this much infection for very long. Well, yesterday late in the afternoon I gave her a first TINY dose of MMS. I mixed six drops and put it into 8 ounces of water. OF that water mix, I gave her only 1 cc. The next morning her droppings looked really awful. So this morning I gave her another 1 cc of the same mix and again two hours later 1 cc of the same mix and no plans to give her any more until tomorrow. Well it is just noon and she has already had her first NORMAL looking dropping that is well formed and nice and golden brown instead of nasty green. This is impressive. She is showing no signs of being sick from the MMS and is looking more energetic and alert. Will keep you bird owners posted on how she does over the long haul. I am concerned about giving her the lemon juice but hopefully it will not do her any harm. Maybe switching to vinigar now and then might help. Anyway, I am seeing results already after just three tiny tiny doses!!! YAY! Steph
Guest guest
Yes I was aware of that Wes, and so I used it within two hours of mixing it. However, what I still do not understand is that the pigeon supply company that sells the chlorine dioxide by the gallon, says to just mix it in the birds water and let them have the same water to drink throughout the day. Also it does not have to be activated. So what do you think about that? Steph
Guest guest
I totally understand your fears here. My first reaction was to think the worst. I guess I was lucky in the fact that from the time I first had symptoms, to when I could not swallow anything, to finding a great doctor, to getting a Heller's Myotomy, took less than a year. I swallow real well now, sometimes I need the help of a big glass of water. It is normal to have fears of the worst, but there are a lot of options out there short of having your esophogus removed. Let me know if you have any questions. Guest guest
Hi, I have just read you email, and having just been through an oesophagectomy successfully for achalasia, and being now able to eat and drink normally there are a few things i think you should be aware of. I think you are jumping the gun a little here. You may end up having an oesophagectomy at some time in the future, but in the meantime you have a lot of living to do. Yes, you will be the best mum to your girls, and you will live your life to the best of your ability, but in the meantime there may be some hiccups along the way. The thing with achalasia is that it gradually gets worse - so that you don't notice it so much - your body is gradually able to eat fewer foods. But there is hope. You may have a myotomy (which really helps some people for a long time), or after that there is always Botox (which got me through another 6 years) before you get to the oesophagectomy stage. So in the meantime enjoy your life for what you have now. Don't let this disease get the better of you because then it has won. Don't dwell on the what might happens and concentrate on enjoying what you have - not what you don't have. Believe me it would be a lot worse to find out you have cancer of the oesophagus than achalasia. So, go and cuddle your girls and give your husband a good cuddle as well - and appreciate that you can do that and will be able to do that for a long time to come. I am really worried after reading all the posts over the last couple of weeks. Did all of you start with just pain in your back and chest from spasms and then it progressively develop into the severe swallowing problems a lot of you are having. I am having mild swallowing problems now along with the pain in back and chest. I feel sometimes like there is a something in the middle of my throat. But I can still eat most foods, some with a little difficulty. I am so afraid that I too will end up progressing to the point all of you have. I know we are all different and our symptoms are all different. But it is frightening to think of what lies before me. Can this just progress until you get to the point that you have to have the esophagus removed, is that what the ectomy is that you are speaking of? How do you eat after that? I have always been a very active, fit and pretty healthy person. I have two young daughters. I can't stand the thought that the rest of my life will be spent everyday suffering and being consumed by this. I want to be there for my girls, be active and be the best mom I can and live a normal healthy life like everyone else. This is really depressing. Guest guest
Hi Kare - first the basics, what's your name and where do you live? Don't be freaked out by everything you read here. I'm one of those scheduled for an -ectomy but understand that I've had A since 1980- ish and had a myotomy with fundo in 1989. I've had about 18 good years from my first surgery and honestly, if the internet had been around then, I'd probably still be good. One advantage you have is that you have the internet to research and us to learn from so you can get the best treatment from the best doctors. I didn't know any better in 1989 and had the wrong kind of fundo from a doctor that had only done a handful at best. Not that I'm complaining - I've had a pretty good 18 years. 10, 15 or 20 years from now, who knows? Maybe they'll develop enough stem cell research where we'll just grow all new shiny E's and then no one will have A anymore~~ Let us know where you are and what treatments you are looking at - we can help guide you to the best treatments at the best hospitals so that you can get the best results. I also have 2 girls, both pregnancies with A but it really doesn't affect me much in the day to day. they don't even know that I have anything wrong. We're here to help so please use us. Sorry you have A but glad you found this site. I have gotten a lot of insight just from joining this support group. I have been trying to research insurance as quickly as possible and trying to check into doctors before I have any tests done or treatment. > > > > Although I may have had Achalasia since 2002, I was just > > diagnosed " unofficially " based upon my 2002 monometry test and > > symptoms. Guest guest
what are the laws in Ohio...does anyone know? <kimberlyire@...> wrote: Parents Of Teens Lacking Immunizations Called To Court http://www.myfoxdc.com/myfox/ More than 2,000 Prince 's County students have not gotten their state-mandated shots. Tonight, an ultimatum to some of those parents: Come to court, get the shots, or else. Some students have missed as much as a month and a half of school because they haven't gotten the required immunizations-- for chickenpox and hepatitis B. So now the school system says it's time to get tough and take those parents to court. Free clinics, free shots, door-to-door visits, and countless letters. Still more than 2,300 Prince 's county students don't have their required immunizations. This Saturday, more than 1600 students and their parents have been ordered to appear in circuit court for the children to be immunized. Health workers will be on hand to give the shots immediately. The problem is a new law that took effect last year requiring students in the fifth through 10th grade to also have the chicken pox and hepatitis b vaccine. Parents who don't show up or fail to comply-- could be fined up to $50 and get up to 10 days in jail. Although getting students vaccinated by " court order " may seem unusual, the law is on the school district's side. Kivlighan with the University of land's School of Public Health says-- the Supreme Court weighed in on this very issue more than 100 years ago with Smallpox. The school district does grant exemptions for religious purposes or other medical reasons but only if parents apply. Going to court-- was a last resort. Hepatitis b vaccine requires three shots over six months. One of the problems has been that students will get one shot but don't get the others. Therefore, the school district states they're not in compliance. COMMENT: The push to vaccinate is completely out of control. Mandates and requirements are passed by uninformed and under-educated State legislators who are sold a bill of goods by smiling pharmaceutical lobbyists being well-paid to pedal their poisons. Parents do not have an opportunity to vote on the necessity of mandates; they are shoved down their throats. They pay taxes to get their children into schools. Then they are required to inject substances their children with substances that could maim or kill them in order to be in " compliance. " The vaccines that are being required in Prince 's County -- for chickenpox, a totally benign disease and for hepatitis b, a disease of drug-users & promiscuous adults -- are not necessary for the health of these children. Do parents know what is in these vaccines? The chickenpox vaccine is made from aborted fetal cells and contains sucrose, hydrolyzed gelatin, salt, MSG (0.5 mg), sodium phosphate dibasic, potassium phosphate monobasic, potassium chloride, trace EDTA, neomycin and serum from cows. The hepatitis b vaccine contains aluminum and yeast. --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.

Guest guest
Hi Camille Don't worry, all of this stuff can make the best of us go nuts at times! As far as Ondra/Koski's office accepting Humana - according to Northwestern's website, they DO accept several different Humana plans. I don't know if yours falls into that category. Your best bet likely is to wait for your insurance company's customer service to check specifically if Northwestern and/or Ondra is considered in- network. Guest guest
Ah, yes, Camille, 'tis oh-so-sad but oh-so-true: We are ALL nuts! Zoned out, off the charts, off in space, clinically insane, etc., etc. Unobservant person that I am, I myself did not actually realize this until today, when I read the news in an authoritative post to this forum. I was actually rather surprised and intrigued. I am sorry that the estimable Dr. Prior Lurker, otherwise known as Dr. Lem E. Outtahere, did not choose to elaborate on his astute diagnosis. Please give your pups an affectionate " Arf! " from me. Unless they are, like my own dearly departed canine, Alaskan malemutes or other pooches of the howling-voice variety, in which case you can give them an admiring " Wooooooo--OOOOOOOO! " Guess I'd better cut short my own time on the computer, as it seems to further exacerbate my nuttiness. I only want to add that if you can keep your marvelous sense of humor through all this pre-op tribulation, you will come through just fine. Hang in there, Camille, and thanks for the much-needed guffaws. Guest guest
Welcome to our forum! The whole vaccine issue IS very much overwhelming, especially with all the garbage and untruth that our government, pharmaceutacal companies and medical communities (CDC, AAP, etc.) are touting as truth and brainwashing the public to believe. I commend you for taking the first step in becoming truly educated. This is a BUSY form, and there is a lot of good information and advice to be had here. If you're new to vaccine research, here are a few links to get you started. Knowledge is power. As you study and learn more and more, you will come to the point where you feel empowered rather than overwhelmed, and you'll be able to make your own decisions and come to your own conclusions on this topic. I would absolutely start by watching this video: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/02/14/why-vaccines-aren-\ t-safe.aspx It's a little long, but you can watch it in chapters. It's very well put together and has a lot of information that is easy to understand. Tocco, the speaker, also references a lot of material that you can refer to for more information. National Vaccine Information Center: http://www.nvic.org/ This is a " staple " site that you should bookmark. I refer to it almost daily. It contains a plethora of information on vaccines and indivitual state laws for school vaccine exemptions. http://www.whale.to/vaccines.html Tons of information here. Sheri's site (our list moderator): http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccine.htm There are also some good books out on the subject. Here are a few good ones for starters: Vaccine Safety Manual for Concerned Families and Health Practitioners: Guide to Immunization Risks and Protection by Neil Z. Evidence of Harm: Mercury in Vaccines and the Autism Epidemic: A Medical Controversy by Kirby The Vaccine Guide, by Randall Neustaedter, OMD A Shot in the Dark by L. Coulter and Barbara Loe Fisher How to Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor by S. Mendelsohn, M.D. Again, welcome aboard! I hope this information helps you feel a little less overwhelmed. Guest guest
Too many Thanksgiving dinners this week for me to be online. I ate dinner Thanksgiving day with my grandmother and some other relatives. Then my brother, his wife, and two children came over Saturday, Sunday I went to church, and today, Monday, I've finally made it back online to read messages. I also noticed there wasn't much said the past few days, I hope that means everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm exhausted from the past week. We've been having cold wet weather here in Kentucky and that with all the visiting during Thanksgiving has increased my pain level. Hopefully resting this week will get the pain under control. I love for my niece and nephew to visit but playing in the floor with a two yr. old isn't easy with RSD in my right leg. My sister-in-law worries that my niece is going to hurt me, but I'm very careful to keep the right leg out of the way of my 2yr old niece. I hope everyone else had a great, low-pain Thanksgiving. Although Thanksgiving has left me exhausted I'm now looking forward to spending Christmas with my family. > > Seems it got quiet in here? How is everyone? I hope good it would be > nice if everyone check in mike group owner >
