Guest guest
I like Chalene too. I have the program already and do look forward to it. I'm pretty positive I wll add to the workouts so I am sweating for an hour though. I'm not sure yet if I will do that with more strength or cardio..hmmm.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts .DarcyOn Tue, Jun 30, 2009 at 2:29 PM, A. M. <plantpowered@...> wrote: Darcy, it's probably going to be too easy for you since you " ve recently done STS. Guest guest
I think that CLX would be challenging for everyone at any level because you pick weights that cause you to fail so Darcy would lift heavier than we would be she would still reach her failure point. Guest guest
I'm very happy. I wonder if it's because I'm not routinely adding to the series. I'm trying to go as heavy as I can, but then I'm taking rest days. It seems counter intuitive, but I feel that I might not get the same results if I add on. Because these workouts are short, they're not a huge calorie burn according to my HRM. So, I've really cleaned up my diet, and the pounds are starting to come off. What a relief! OK, logging off! Time for QiGong. On Tue, Jun 30, 2009 at 3:07 PM, <snowlily1960@...> wrote: Good job ! That is cool that you can ALREADY go heavier on the squats too! I like the slower heavier weight workouts too. Guest guest
I have been adding on to what Chalene suggests. The first day I did Burn 1 plus the Ab Burner workout. The next day I didn't rest like suggested, instead I did the Burn It Off followed by the Recharge workout. On day three I did Burn 2 followed by the Ab Burner workout. Yesterday I did the Burn Interval workout (my fav so far) followed by the Ab Burner workout. Today will be Burn 3 followed by Extreme Abs when I get home from work. I have to say that I am really enjoying these workouts. They are not easy which is good. Re: WOW YOu know, sometimes less really is more! THEN - a few months ago - got bit my a tick -and got lymes disease. She said the cancer was a BREEZE compared to this - SO much harder to beat - and it attacks ALL your cells in your WHOLE body - FAST She IS beating it - but is currently still in the process, and has been HARD the last few months. Guest guest
Activated yesterday. After so many weeks of worry, my activation was simply amazing. I can hear so much. Prior to my surgery I was worried I was giving up my remaining hearing for a possibly worse overall result. With my hi-tech hearing aids I was still able to use my cell and regular phones. My MP3 worked fine with a direct hookup also. Within a few minutes of my activation I could not believe how CLEAR the sounds were. From the many comments on this forum I realized that my brain would quickly adjust to the frequency changes. I can hear voices well. The first time in years I could talk to my passenger while driving on the highway and with my left ear implanted! The funniest thing is still my brain refusing to accept who I am talking to on the phone as I do not recognize their voice although they identify themselves by name. Mind over matter. Very weird. A minor question. Are many of you (men with no hair probably) forced to wear a small ear mold to hold the processor in place? Mine does not sit perfectly and moves off my head at the back. I have a MEDEL Opus2. Lawrence Levin
Guest guest
Lawrence, What a wonderful activation! May you have continued good progress. As to your question, I have a suggestion (although I am not a man and don't have MEDEL)--I wear my glasses with the earpiece between my ear and the processor and it seems to hold the processor more securely. You might try that if you wear glasses or with sun glassses. Bobbi > > Activated yesterday. After so many weeks of worry, my activation was simply amazing. I can hear so much. ... > A minor question. Guest guest
How wonderful is that Lawrence? Re the processor not sitting well.... perhaps there is still some swelling.... maybe you could try some wig tape to hold the processor on better..... that is a double sided tape. That way you won't have to wear that ear mold.... just a thought. Happy Hearing! Guest guest
Hi Lawrence Glad to here you did so well ! It's unusual to have such a good activation. Everyone sounded like a robot to me but my brain adjusted quickly and in a few weeks I was probably at your level. I too have Medel Opus 2 and I'm bi lateral. I had difficulty with the phone too. I have found using the direct connect cable plugged into the headset jack of a phone that has both hearing and speaking capability works very well for me. My surgeon recommended I try that when I discussed it with him at my surgical post op. As far as the ear mold, I too have the issue with the processor falling off and I have hair! I think the Opus 2 is such a light processor it is inevitable. I have not gotten the ear molds but that was offered as an option. I guess I have adjusted to it so it's not been a problem anymore. Best of luck to you! Hearing only gets better! Regina PS This is the 2nd time I am posting this message. I don't think it posted the first time..but if it did sorry for the duplicate ________________________________ From: Lawrence Levin <lawrencerlevin@...> CI Hear < > Sent: Tue, February 15, 2011 11:33:19 AM Subject: WOW Â Activated yesterday.
