I also am biased because I love my Cochlear devices. I have the Freedom now but

that is the 2nd upgrade for me. When they come out with newer ones, we like to

upgrade them (the exterior portion only). All of the newer processors that

Cochlear makes, works with the older implants.

One question I would ask if I were you would be “how many of each brand has

the surgeon implanted†and also “how many audiologists in your area

currently map each of the choices†? Both questions, along with hands on and

reading about the differences might help you make your decision.

You can request information packets from both and also when you visit

the clinic, look at the hardware. Ask questions, lots of questions.

I am quite happy with Cochlear but I am biased. ;) This step of

researching one's choices is always the toughest. But worth the time as

once implanted, you are stuck with it.

There only on ci centre in northern Ireland.

Please do tell me what is nanosecond?
