I got an N5 upgrade from my nine year old 3G last week.

The four programs are awesome, particularly the Music program for me,

because music was never good with the 3G. While driving home from the audi I

listened to Sinatra, I could hear all the words and the background

music. Then I listened to Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture, I could hear all the

different instruments including the church bells. I can't say that I could

identify all the instruments at this time, but it was the first time I have

been able to hear it for thirty years, and I think with practice it will get

better.

With the ease of the remote to change programs,

sensitivity and volume it is awesome.

BUT. My remote died after two days. Cochlear said they would fed-ex a

new one on Friday for delivery on Saturday, it didn't happen. I was

disappointed not to have it for this holiday weekend.

My audi said that they have had problems with the remote before, and it

seems to be an ongoing problem. Have any of you had a problem with this?

All in all, I am so very happy with the N5. It is everything I hoped for,

and more.

Re: N5 remote

I can change settings on the bilateral N5 using the remote. Can you change

the settings on individual N5? I can with the Freedom implant, but not with

the N24 implant by itself.

Hi guys

I was a remote with my N5 on the left side, it Is going well I have had no

problems with it but maybe that is because I have N5 internal and processor?? I

was implanted 27th april 2011 and activated 26th may 2011.

Re: Re: N5 remote

,

On another list a DB said some people encountered difficulty with their

remote & new software has to be created to solve the problem. Will see what

the audie says.
