Guest guest
I'm reading with interest the results of a second CI. I had my first done this past January. Now I'm struggling to decide if I should also do the other side. I still have some hearing in that side although it is bad enough to qualify for a CI. It's been hard trying to figure out if the first one is really making that much of a difference. I still need to work harder on understanding vowels, etc. in hopes that words will be clearer without having to lip read too. I keep seeing that the second CI made all the difference for those implanted but I'm worried that it won't for me. I should make a decision before the year is out as I have been told that it is better not to wait too long between implants. It would also be better for my insurance in that I've met my deductible for the year with the first CI. (Imagine that!) Would appreciate input from all of you!
