Hi, to make a long story short i was washing dishes and my processor started

losing sound. i thought the coil may have fallen off but not it was still

attached. When i readjusted it the sound came on and then off. I am lost here.

So i used my back up and it does the same thing.

Is the auto-sensitivity feature activated on your CI? I find the same thing

happening with auto-sensitivity. My processor seems to sense that running water

is not a sound that needs to be there and quickly makes the sound diminish.

Jim, maybe I make life harder for myself, but I don't like anything that is

automatic on my processors – and that goes for both the Freedom and the N5. I

think if one is a tiny child or an elderly person with limited use of fingers,

automatic may be good. But for me, I don't want an automatic t-coil or anything

over which I don't have control. Since you are a fairly new user, you will

eventually find the best methods for you.

I did get caught many years ago with the sound disappearing when I turned on the

water faucet just like Cassandra. I always wished we could make a list of

things that can possibly happen for all those newly implanted.
