For any who are concerned it would be helpful if you would express those concerns to your CI surgeon, his/her audiologist and Cochlear's home offices and any Cochlear reps you might have contact with. Guest guest
Steve, Let's see how the poll results come in. It seems that some people are not experiencing any problems. It's a beautiful processor and hopefully it's not as dramatic a problem as it may appear to you right now. Since you haven't experienced a CI, you don't realize how much strength they really have and how much more you can hear with it. Alice " I just confirmed that the telecoil cannot be repositioned. Guest guest
I agree wholeheartedly that if it works for you, then that's wonderful. I keep hearing from people how well it works for them and I always say, " I'm happy for you, but it's NOT working for me. " I think they believe that if they tell me often enough, it will change for me. I'm not sure that will happen and so I think no one should be discouraged from speaking about any trouble they have with their processors. Guest guest
I've had that thought too, Bob, because I've heard from folks that the N5 works fine and yet they don't use the t-coil or loops. Like you, I had wondered if they had given the t-coil and the looping environment a good trial. It's not something that's done in a day or two, but takes weeks at the least.
