Hi-

I recently purchased a Clarity amplified phone with an answering machine that I

had to return because when I switch to tcoil the buzzing or feedback is so loud

that I can.t hear the speaker, The vendor said I might have to switch to an

analog phone instead.

Can anyone recommend a digital or analog phone preferably with an answering

machine that is compatible with cochlear America freedom implanr processor?

Thanks

Uh oh! The C4230 is the one I would have suggested. It's a Cadillac, and

TIA-1083 compliant (The HAC standard for cordless phones)

I have a Clarity W425 Pro, also TIA-1083 compliant, that's BUZZ-free in

telecoil mode, that you might consider, but there's no answering machine.

http://tinyurl.com/3ggqm4g

Needless to say, you'd have no BUZZ with any amplified corded phone.

Whatever you wind up with, shop carefully. The markup on both the Clarity

and ClearSounds lines is very high, with major discounts widely available

online. Also, check your state's telephone equipment distribution program.

My W425 Pro and many others are FREE to Florida residents, for example.

Wish I could offer more help!

Hi -

I was away but when i got home I tried the Clarity 4230 again but the

noise when i switched to T-coil was even worse. i called the company and

tech support said there should be no background noise at all -

possibility that the phone was defective.

I was going to request a replacement but I brought it online from a

company called Imarket and they are charging me the shipping cost to

return it - even though it was defective - so I didn't want them to send

another in case it still did not work properly.

Thanks again.

Hard to say what's going on, Tom, without hands-on of the phone. Maybe have

your audi take a listen? In any event, for warranty service, you would send

the phone to Clarity's service center, not the vendor. Normal industry

practice is that you pay return shipping costs - they return shipping

prepaid. Here's the link for Clarity warranty service:

http://shop.clarityproducts.com/support/returns/

Good luck,

Bob
