Post op update and questions

Hi all,

Well all done now, just waiting for my activation on Feb 14. Valentines day

I felt great after the surgery on Friday and did as I was told. Stayed in bed

for 2 days. Took my meds. Stayed reasonably quiet.

I still have tinnitus in my implanted (left) ear. Maybe a bit softer but also

with a new noise that makes a cyclic beat 24/7. Is this temporary or just more

permanent noise? I am also slightly dizzy but I guess it will now pass. A little

strange taste sensation on the left side, sort of " off " a bit. From other

comments I guess it will resolve itself eventually.

All things considered, it was quite uneventful. Mostly a bad haircut and my

surgeon seems to prefer staples - 12 of them. Gone in a week anyway. Can't

really tell where the disk is from the implant. Nothing to really feel but I'm

not searching too hard.
