Randy,

No matter which cellphone anyone recommends, chances are it will become obsolete

by the time you get to your local dealer.

What I recommend is to go to a Verizon store (not a kiosk) (they have CDMA

service which is the best type of service for us). They will let you try any

phone. When I went there last, I must have tried close to 10 phones. Most of

them were equally good for me but you have to decide for yourself. I just

picked the one which had the features I wanted and sounded the best to me (and

wasn't expensive).

As for a landline, I recommend a 5.8 GHz phone. I have an AT & T cordless which

came with 3 phones and and answering machine. I think I paid $99 in Sam's Club

for the whole shabang..... 3 phones and he answering machine.

Although the landline is not t-coil compatible (it says it is but really isn't)

I still hear extremely well on it without the tcoil.

Hope this helps.

Happy Hearing!

Phone compatability

I am wondering if those on the list might make recommendations on what

manufacturer and model of cell phones that they from their experience

work?

Same question for desktop phone, preferably with speakerphone for

office environment????

Believe it or not I am currently using a very bulky PolyCom designed

for conference rooms.

On this topic of cell phones, a short time ago there was posting about no

longer being able to make 911 from analog cell phones. My friend believes

her track phone is just analog and she added an additional $50 to her annual

service to get 911 service. Can track cell phones be digital? Is the info

accurate that 911 cannot be accessed from analog cell phones re previous

posting on this subject?
