I, also, believe things happen for a reason and even if you can't see it at the time, hang in there because things do get better. I've broken 3 engagements, and never once returned the rings, either. Have a nice cocktail ring made from them, and look back and say, " What in hell was I thinking when I agreed to marry THIS one " . Time heals all wounds, and wounds all heels. And in the long run, it will be HIS loss, not yours.
