Guest guest
Hi, The suture line from my implant back on in August is still bleeding. It is a bit annoying, as well as embarrassing, to be in a meeting your boss discussing your performance evaluation and blood start running down your neck. I have gone to the doctor - several times now. For driving 200 miles round trip he tells me it should have already healed. For that he get to bill my health insurance carriers. Anyone ever heard of a suture line bleeding 5 months after surgery? By bleeding I mean that it starts out by oozing blood, usually in very small amounts, but every once in a while it rolls down my neck at the most embarrassing moments. I am most interested in hearing from those with a similar problem. Randy --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search. Guest guest
Randy, This is a very long time for a suture not to heal. Are you diabetic? Diabetics do heal more slowly than non diabetics. Did the surgeon use staples or actual sutures on your head? Are you scratching your head, or using a rough comb or brush before it happens, or do you turn suddenly, etc. Is it necessary to travel the 200 miles to the implant person; don't you have a local doctor who can look at this, and perhaps bandage it up or put some sutures in? Preferably self disolving ones, so you don't have to get them taken out. I would not have an open wound on my head that long; could be dangerous. Check with your local physician. Good luck, Posted by: " R C " deafened_ink@... deafened_ink Thu Jan 3, 2008 11:52 am (PST) Hi, The suture line from my implant back on in August is still bleeding.
