thanks - yes I have been doing th esalt water rinse for several months twice a

day. I went to my primary today to discuss an antifungal and she looked at me

like I was crazy - she said that since the sinus cultures from the surgery

didn't show fungas then she couldn't prescribe anything. She also wants me to

take a full month round of biaxin antibiotic to try to cure the sinus problem.

I really don't know what to do - if I take them then the candida gets worse but

maybe they will help. she said that she thinks I am immune to the other

antibiotics that I have been taking and weanted to change me to this one. She

also wants me to continue the steriods but gave me a 3 dose round of diflucan

for the yeast. Maybe I should try it her way. I am so confused. I have been

taking the fungal defense and am going to be ordering coconut oil today so I

guess I can keep those up w/ the garlic too (I have been cooking lately w/ a TON

of it - my hubby loves it so he is happy)and maybe it will all workout. I have

also been following the low carb-no sugar diet all week. Oh yeah -Now I also

have a double ear infection to boot she says- probably stemming from the sinus

issues. I just can't catch a break, huh? Good thing I am not a horse.

Fiona,

Your hair loss situation sounds like what alot of us have already gone through. Hair loss is another alarming and self-esteem crashing symptom. And a common thyroid imbalance symptom.

I'm with ya on the HRT. If I am ever at that point where I even consider taking additional hormones, there is only one way I will go....I will firmly insist on only the natural hormones that are identical, molecule for molecule with human female hormones. They can make this at compound pharmacies, so Premarin isn't the only way to go...it's just the only way the pharmaceuticals can patent their product and make money. You have to ask for the natural stuff, because it is more than likely the doctors will never, ever offer it to you.

What concerns me at this point is boosting my immune system...I can always tell when it's working well, because that's when my hair REALLY falls out a lot, as it attacks the hair folicles ( unless it is somehow my thyroid, but I don't always feel tired at the same time, so who knows ? I'm worried that a boosted immune system means ot's attacking my own body more too, so I'm kind of limping along with that until explant..then I will look at it again...what a nuisance ! Right now I'm feeling pretty good, and my hair is shedding all over the place like that of a DAlmation, and any Dallie owners will know how much THAT is...

About HRT: Ladies, if you saw what those poor mares go through during the manufacture of Premarin, you'd never dream of using the stuff...I understand there are some good herbal alternatives out there...those poor animals suffer the worst kind of hell....They're called PMU mares, check on the Net.....

Probably a stupid question here but what does IMHO stand for - I've seen it a

few times here and I am an e-mail terminology idiot... Yes I agree on the doc

thing but I just changed over to her back in November and she is the third

primary I have had since last January - I don't know what to believe now. I

asked if she could do a candida test and she said that there was no specific

test for it - since the ENT didn't send her a report saying that the culture of

my sinuses came back positive for fungas then there wasn't a problem. I

mentioned the yeast which she agreed was a result of the long term antibiotics

and gave me something for that but said that anti fungals were potentially

dangerous and could not be prescribed unless I had a proven fungas test on a

culture as they could do damage. She said that I was probably becoming immune

to the other antibiotics that I have been on for months - and since each time I

took them it was for 1-2 weeks at a time then there was a lapse until my next

doc visit to get more that what I really needed was to be on a long term dose of

something different 4-6 weeks solid to kill the infection for good. ???? All I

know is that now my sinuses are infected, I have a double ear infection (the

left ear drum is on the verge of bursting from the pressure she said)and I am in

so much pain. I am scared to take what she prescribed but then I am scared not

to as I don't want to get worse and in more pain. @#$%$@# I am so freaked out

right now!! I went online to the recommended coconut oil dealer this morning

and called them. I told the lady there what was going on and she also advised

against taking the antibiotics - I ordered a quart of the oil and some black

walnut stuff,too. Hopefully it will arrive soon. I have about a week left on

the fungal defense program. Something really weird happened to me last night

that I think mabe was related to detoxing - I am not sure. I don't want to get

gross or graphic but I had been constipated for a while now and I woke up a 2am

w/ terrible tummy cramps and ran to the bathroom. I wasn't diarrhea at all but

the cramping felt like that - it was very weird. I felt as though I had

eliminated 20 lbs by the time it was over and it had a strange smell. I felt

fine this morning. I did the " spit test " again and the strings/legs from the

top of the glass were about 3 " long. gross. Hopefully the

diflucan/garlic/fungal defense/coconut oil will get this mess out of me before

it takes over.
