Hey :

Just be sure to ask your surgeon to account for your desire to wear your

original CI when that goshed darned gauze headwrap is on. I was able to

slide my magnet into place thru the gauze wrap and then poked the processor

hook into another portion of the beautiful gauze turban wrap. Looked odd,

but what does it matter.......you look odd anyway with that head dress!!

You will figure it out, and I am sure he has encountered this request

before!! I did NOT put the headcoil on UNDER the wrap......in fact it stuck

with some gauze under the headcoil.

Good luck and Friday will be here before you know it! I will be out in Iowa

getting my maps tweaked so I am sure to hear my best for my daughter's

wedding on Aug. 16th! I am hopeful Smart Sounds 2.0 make a difference!! I

will be sending up prayers and positive thoughts for a successful surgery

and recovery!

Warmly, Carol

I'm supposed to get my bandage off on Monday but I'm not sure I want the

processor on under the bandage because then I have to sleep with it. But

that

is definitely something to talk to the surgeon about!

Thanks,

Friday will be here before you know it. Remember to tell Dr. Kohan to make

sure your present processor is on you and turned on before they put the

bandage on you so you will be able to hear when you wake up. Otherwise it

is almost

impossible to get the coil in place after they put the bandage on.
