Guest guest
Hi Alice. Irv in Ca. here. I went and joined the MSN site, but I am confused. I can read the messages just fine, but how to delete them eludes me! I think a primer on how to use the MSN site may be in order. is simple. Best regards. Alice <alice@...> wrote: A lot is going on with as I previously told you. We see lots of ads but even less privacy is pending and I'm not too happy with the choices they are making. It does look as if Microsoft is going to purchase and groups. For this reason, I have created a CI Hear group on MSN Groups. It's very similar to this, has all the perks we've had and some additional ones as well. I'd like to offer you the opportunity to join to try it out but I'm going to ask you to do this on your own. To join go to http://groups.msn.com/ and let's see if we think this is a good option for our group. Alice http://www..com Irv in Ca. Guest guest
I gave up too, last night, after 40 minutes of frustration, trying to get to the MSN group. I hate MSN anyway, even if you create a new password for a " net passport " , it usually then tells you its wrong! Eventually I persuaded it, then made 8 attempts to reach the group address - eventually fell asleep at the desk david > > Hmmm - trying to join new forum area but I keep getting error messages and > it won't take me to the site! Guest guest
I wish I could help you. Jackie, but I haven't gotten as far as an error message. I can't get past the security screen where they want you to type in a set of 8 characters. I keep getting it wrong so I am denied entry. I wonder if we will have to deal with the security screen everytime we want to reply to a post on the MSN site. Some of the characters are too jumbled or busy for me to make out. Good luck getting it resolved. Maybe someday I'll be joining you all on MSN. Patti > > Hmmm - trying to join new forum area but I keep getting error messages and > it won't take me to the site! Guest guest
Sorry to see so many frustrated people. I'm not sure why you are having a problem but that is why we are testing. There are 7 members there and I don't think any of us had a problem but then again, maybe we all have MSN e addresses? It's just a trial. I don't know if it will work. I've been with groups for several years so changing is not my idea of fun. Alice http://www..com
Guest guest
It's not your fault, Alice - and I will try again. So far my computer or SOMEthing along the line just isn't cooperating! Guest guest
Hi Kat and Everyone, I just spent some time redoing the NET passport account for the MSN site. When I got down to the security field, I discovered that you can click on a speaker icon to have the characters read to you so you can type them in. You can also click on a refresh icon to have the security screen changed to a different set of characters. I managed to type in what I heard. It was not easy. I had to really jack up my volume to understand the speakers. After all that, I am still not in. I can read the messages but I can't reply back to any because I get a screen that keeps asking me for my email and password which are not accepted because the site would not accept the fact that I agree to their terms. LOL, I guess they know I didn't read all their fine print. Patti Surgery Day 11/25/02 (What A Day!) Guest guest
I find those jumbled codes a PITA too, surely there isnt any need for them to be almost illegible.
