Guest guest
Hi Deb: Great to see you posting here and also to see how well you are progressing with bilateral hearing! Sounds like you are receiving alot of benefit! I know exactly what you mean about back ground noise. I often take my opposite processor off while I am on the phone if it is noisy, as I find it particularly distracting to have any loud background noise when I am on the phone. I have my ratio at 100%. However I do know it is important to you to know what is going on around you at work......no easy answer there! I always had to be as far removed from he noise as possible if I had my second ear turned on. All I could suggest is turning down he second implant ear when on the phone. Rereading your post, I wonder if it is that noise entering your phone headpiece that is the problem? Now that, I think you have to start by turning down the volume on the phone itself, as that might be the biggest issue. If that does not do it, then try the settings on your processor. I do not have your kind of processor, so maybe someone who does can offer more in the way of processor settings. However, for sure start with turning down the phone itself, then work with the processor. Also, consider turning down or taking off the opposite processor. Let me know how this works....... Warmly, Carol in WI
