Guest guest
Thats the one blessing, . These scales WEREN'T expensive. I bought them on eBay. They are excellent scales though. I started my New Years resolution to lose some weight, on September 24th last year. What made me start early, was that I couldnt get a belt to fit me. We were flying down to Sydney for just an overnight stay for a surprise birthday party for one of our sons ( my wife and I have been seperated for over 6 years, but we get on OK ). Up to now I have lost about 30 pounds. I had been using an old exercise machine, bought by my wife, at a garage sale for $5, for most of my exercising until now, but it was getting kind of boring and I was tending to overdo it on some days. At Xmas I bought myself a Spin Bike (indoor exercise bike) to give myself more choice and I can ride it day or night, rain, hail or shine. I have a road bike as well, but I havent been out on it since I got my C.I. I will, but I want to lose a few more pounds first. Thats another blessing, where I live it only gets cold for about 5 or 6 weeks of the year, so you can exercise outside as much as you want. I actually prefer the colder weather, legacy of growing up in England with snow. As for salads, I'm not keen on them. I had lost 60 pounds at another attempt, by virtually cutting out all sweet stuff, lollies, cakes & biscuits. But this time I am eating anything that I fancy, but I am trying to remember the meaning of the words " in moderation " . I set my goal even higher this time, because I achieved the last one which was to lose 4 stone (56lbs), but then I moved the goalposts and decided I would try and lose another 14 lbs. After that, my heart wasnt in it, so I kind of sabotaged myself. Ted F. > > Ted, > > Sorry, but more expensive scales are no kinder than cheap ones: in fact > they may be worse.
