Guest guest
Hi guys I started the fungal defense a few days ago and started eating 1 large clove a day night before last for the candida issue - here is my question. Will garlic cause me to herx? Last night when I got home I felt terrible as if I had the flu and had the chills and achiness - after about 2 hours I felt better. Now my urine smells strongly of garlic and has been very frequent. Does this mean anything - maybe it is working? what should I expect as far as side effect of killing the candida? Just wondering. I am going for the hot soak tonight w/ the salts, too. Where do you guys get your coconut oil? Thanks for all the help!! shari
Guest guest
Shari, Yes, garlic can definitely make you herx. That is all the junk dying off and making its way out of you and down the toilet. Just keep it up--it sounds like you are going good, but if you start to feel too bad, maybe back off for a little bit, and then hit the garlic again. Garlic will kill candida, and the process is not a pleasant one. Side effects can be just more of what you already are experiencing as that stuff dies and toxins are released. You might want to consider doing coffee enemas as a means of releasing the toxicity faster to the outside of the body. I buy my virgin organic coconut oil from the internet. I have yet to find it in stores that is of the right quality. I have seen refined coconut oil (no way!) and other stuff that just doesn't cut it. It must be organic and virgin. Here is where I buy mine from...they have excellent customer service. http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/mall/virgin_coconut_oil.asp Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: halvey70@... Guest guest
Thanks any ideas on getting rid of the garlic smell? I have bought some apples to eat but what about the body odor? I think I can smell it through my skin. also- do you have any ideas on whether or not the no smell garlic tablets are any good? thanks
Guest guest
I have not found anything in particular that works to get rid of the smell, but I tend to plan garlic use around social engagements. We have an infrared sauna, and my husband always tries to sweat it out. You could also try epsom salt baths. I don't know if these work or not for sure, because usually my husband and I do garlic together, and so we are kind of immune to each other's smell. I have found typically that my husband can't smell me when he gets home unless he gets close enough to kiss me. And of course, the smell is strongest when you've just eaten it. (Then he joins me!) If you work around others and are concerned about it in the workplace, then perhaps covering it up with perfumed oils is the only way to go....anyone else have any ideas? If you eat it right when you get home from work, so that you have the longest possible passage of time until you have to return to work again, the smell may be lessened. As for the no-smell garlic pills, you may have to resort to those, but according to Dr. Weil, they don't work as well. Here is the paragraph I posted from one of his articles: Dr. Weil says, "The best home remedy I have found for colds is to eat several cloves of raw garlic at the first onset of symptoms. Eating raw garlic does not appeal to everyone, but garlic loses its antibiotic properties when you cook or dry it, and commercial garlic capsules do not preserve the full activity of the fresh bulb. You can make raw garlic more palatable by chopping it fine, mixing it with food, and eating it with a meal. Or, cut a clove into chunks and swallow them whole like pills. If it gives you flatulence, eat less. Ifyou eat garlic regularly, and have a good attitude about it you will not smell of it. (Patty says, "Wow! a good attitude can keep you from smelling? It never worked for me!") Chewing some fresh parsley after eating garlic also minimizes the odor. Good luck, Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: halvey70@...
