Just a word on the juicers.....I did this dietary healing protocol for a short period of time. It was very difficult, and definitely produced a herx reaction. I wanted to do it with the right juicer to get the most benefit of juices, but there was no way I was going to shell out thousands of dollars for the juicer that was recommeded, the Norwalk, which is a hydraulic press type juicer. I had purchased the Juiceman's juicer, and used it for over a year, but found that it was not recommended at all. I researched the net and found a juicer that fit the requirements very well. It is called the Green Life, or Green Power and does not use centrifugal force, but rather twin gears that masticate and grind, so there is no oxidation of juices such as you get with a centrifugal juicer, plus you can juice wheatgrass, for those interested in that (like my husband was.) The quality of the juice produced with these machines can be compared to the quality of the hydraulic press.

Just remember that you want the highest quality juice, and centrigual juicers, while easier to use, do not provide the quality needed. The difference is so significant that the Gerson Clinic found that those who used centrifual juicers vs a hydraulic press, all other things being equal, did not heal. As those patients were fighting to overcome cancer, for them you could say the difference was between life and death. It was that important.
